Heavy equipment is easily supported by the structural integrity of these units. Deeper work surfaces work well with large, or with compact portable computers. Arlington Study Table Specifications TABLE TOP: The tops shall be 1 3/16” thick, 3-ply particle board core construction with a .050” thick high pressure laminate top surface and a .020” thick backer sheet. The edges shall be banded with a 3/4” thick solid hardwood drop edge band. All tables longer than 48” shall receive a 14 gauge embedded stress bar for added support. The stress bars shall be screwed to the underside of the table top. EDGE DETAILS: The external radius edge band shall be 3/4” x 1 1/2” thick solid hardwood. Edges shall be available in a tapered profile or a rounded profile. APRON RAIL: The optional apron rail shall be constructed of 3/4” x 1 1/4” thick solids and fitted between the table legs. The bottom outside edges of the apron rails shall be eased. Add the suffix (-AR). LEGS: The legs shall be constructed of glued up solids and shall be 2 1/4” square. All vertical edges shall be radius. All bottom edges shall be eased. The legs shall attach to the underside of the tabletops through a 5” x 5” x 1/4” thick steel plate. The plate shall be attached to the leg with two bolts threading into a barrel nut inserted into the leg. The plate shall be attached to the underside of the table top with 5/16” x 1” machine bolts engaging threaded inserts. Any table longer than 72” shall receive an additional leg for added support. TABLE HEIGHT: The standard table top height shall be 29”. Additional heights of 25” and 27” are available when specified. GLIDES: Each leg shall be fitted with one 1 3/16” diameter rubber cushioned adjustable leveling glide with a 15/16” stem. LUMBERCORE TABLE TOP (optional): The lumbercore shall be constructed of an odd number of plies, symmetrical from the centerline, ie. all inner plies, except the inner most ply, shall occur in pairs. Each pair of inner plies shall be the same thickness and direction of grain. Each ply of each pair is placed on opposite sides of the inner most ply, alternating grain direction from the center out. Add the suffix (-LC). VENEER TOPS (optional): Table tops with face veneers are available when specified. Add the suffix (-VT).

The front edge shall be banded with a radius 3/4” thick rounded and tapered solid hardwood drop edge band. A solid hardwood retainer strip shall be fastened to the top from the underside. The other three edges shall be internally banded with a solid wood band. END PANELS: The end panels shall be constructed of 3/4” particleboard core with Grade ”A” veneer on both faces. The exposed edges shall be externally banded with 1/4” eased solid hardwood. BACK PANEL: The back panel shall be 3/4” thick particleboard core with Grade ”A” veneer on both faces. SHELVES: The atlas stand shall have five pull out shelves. The shelves shall be 3/4” thick veneer core with select veneer face. The shelf slides shall have a positive stop to prevent accidental removal. The shelves shall be externally banded with 1/4” eased solid hardwood. LEGS: The legs shall be constructed of glued up solid hardwoods and shall be 2 1/4” square. All vertical edges shall be radius. All bottom edges shall be eased. The legs shall attach to the underside of the bases through a 5” x 5” x 1/4” thick steel plate. The plate shall be attached to the leg through a barrel nut inserted into the leg. The plate shall be attached to the underside of the atlas stand with 5/16” x 1” machine bolts engaging threaded inserts. GLIDES: Each leg shall be fitted with one 1 3/16” diameter rubber cushioned adjustable leveling glide with a 15/16” stem.
