First Aid Training Importance In Emergency Situation  It is important to be trained in basic first aid.  The initial process of assessing and addressing

the needs of someone who is experiencing medical emergencies.

 If we take First Aid Training, it is helpful in the

Emergency situation.


ď‚— If employees work in a high hazard or low-risk, they face

many risks.

ď‚— Risks such as bleeding, poisoning, temperature extremes,

burns, bites, and stings, medical emergencies and distressed workers in confined spaces.

ď‚— This is just the examples for a variety of first aid

emergencies which may be encountered in the company or any other place.



Action Method  The Action Method is a vital aid to the first aider in

assessing whether the victim has any life-threatening situations and if any immediate first aid is necessary.

1. Check for DANGER  To you  To others  To victim


2. Check RESPONSE  Is victim conscious?  Is victim unconscious? 3. Check AIRWAY  Is airway clear of objects?  Is airway open?


4. Check for BREATHING  Is chest rising and falling?  Can you hear victim's breathing?  Can you feel the breath on your cheek? 5. Check for CIRCULATION  Can you see any obvious signs of life?  Can you feel a pulse?


Tips & Tricks 1. Bleeding  Extensive blood loss can easily lead to unconsciousness or death.  It is considered to be anything more than a litre in an adult

and a third of a litre for a child.  To Treat

1. Apply the direct pressure on the cut or wound with a clean cloth, or bandage until bleeding stops.


2. If blood soaks through the bandage, don’t remove it. Put more cloth or bandage on top of it and continue to apply pressure. 3. Rewash your hands after giving first aid and before cleaning and dressing the wound.


2. Head Injury  Sometimes there is no serious wound so you must look out for other signs.  A serious head injury may be present without any signs.  Such as Blood seeping from the ear, Unconsciousness, Nausea

and Dizziness


ď‚— To Treat

1. If the person is conscious lay them down but raises their head and shoulders. 2. If they have fluid leaking from an ear, secure the dressing over it and tilt the person head to allow free drainage. 3. If condition worsens then descend and seek medical help.


3. Internal Bleeding  Internal bleeding is the result of ruptured blood vessels which allow blood to leak into cavities in the body.  Also it can be caused by a chest or abdomen injury.  Watch out for the signs: Pain in the area, Fainting, Nausea,

Dizziness, Dilated pupils, irregular pulse and Swelling or bruising at the site

Begin mouth to mouth resuscitation if necessary

2. Descend immediately 3. Don’t give the person anything to drink
