How long have you been using NXT? I’ve been using NXT for a short time now after being converted from another brand. I‘ve also introduced almost all my clients to NXT.
Tell us about you and your background? Hi. My name is Holly Bullock, I’m a 21-year-old hairstylist from Suffolk. I specialise in balayage and blonde colouring services. Most of what I know is self-taught and trial and error. As an apprentice during Covid lockdowns, I spent a lot of time watching videos on social media, working on my Practice Head, which lead me to find techniques I love. I have also been lucky enough to then go to London and train with some of the top colourists in our industry.
Why do you love using NXT? The versatility of the products and how you can intermix shades to create the perfect custom colour for every client is amazing. What’s your favourite NXT colour? I am loving the new toner range, and feel it’s come out at the perfect time. The bronde/champagne shades (9-22 & 9-72) for Autumn/ Winter transformations are my favourite at the moment. The darker shades in the range (7-7 & 6-16) are perfect for root smudges.
What do your clients think of NXT? My clients are so impressed with the NXT colours. I’m having great feedback especially from my regular and longtime clients who are loving the shine and condition of their hair after their services, I think this is due to the added Vitamin E and Argan Oil ingredients.

CREATE THE LOOK My model had previously had a balayage around 8 weeks before Salon International. Her balayage was still blending perfectly, but was in need of a little refresh. To refresh her colour without needing to use bleach, we did a global toner to add shine, remove warmth and completely refresh her balayage
- also showcasing the power of the toners on their own. This is the perfect service/look for a client who likes a lower maintenance colour, or who wants to avoid bleach, but would still like to refresh their colour. Toners used 10.21 / 10.11 / 10.02 equal parts with 5vol for 20 mins.
