In our fifth issue, we explore the dual themes of SELF and SONDER in this double sided book. Flip the book over to read back to front at https://issuu.com/astrmag/docs/sonder_vs_self.
Sonder is defined as "the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own." And self is defined as "a person's essential being that distinguishes them from others." In this issue, we explore the dual notions that we are individuals separate from others AND that others are individuals separate from each other. We tell personal narratives from our own perspectives and from the perspective of friends, colleagues, and strangers. And we investigate what it means to be a singular person inside a larger society.
