The Secret Qabalah of Liber AL vel Legis In Liber AL Crowley is told to: “solve the first half of the equation, leave the second unattacked”. (I:56) The first half of the equation is AL. Peh (P) is the ‘second half of the equation’.
There is a hidden Tree of Life schemata in Aleister Crowley’s Book of the Law (Liber AL). This wall-chart expounds its essential elements. The scheme was discovered by me in circa 1987. I self-published an ebook in the year 2000 called Liber Peh which contains this information. Now, in 2016, I’m inspired to summarize it in this wall-chart.
The equation ALP represents Creation. The creation of the Microcosmos is initiated by NUIT and HAD above the Abyss. A ‘seed-pod’ or ‘egg’ is formed and descends below the Abyss. HOOR PA KRAAT (529) is the result. He represents the unevolved microcosm, the “babe in an egg”. He evolves to become RA HOOR KHUIT.
“The Key of it all” (Liber AL, III:47) is code for “the Key of IT AIN” (or The Key of Peh). ALL (61) = AIN (61). IT AIN = P (Peh). The Hebrew letter Peh completes the equation ALP.

Stage One: NU expands to NUN UU (118) which separates into NU (56) and NUU (62). NU forms Keter. NUU transforms into AL (31) and LA (31) to form Hockmah and Binah.

Stage Two: The N (50) of NU in Keter transforms into LA (31) (Keter) and IT (19). IT (19) descends to Daath and combines with AIN (61) to form Peh (80).
Stage Four: The Microcosmic seed-pod expands and opens. The three As all expand to ALP. P expands to PH. The A of Tifaret is the ‘flower’ of the Microcosm. It opens to Heaven by extending Hesed (L) and Geburah (P). HOOR-PA-KRAAT is born.

HAD’s secret number is 555. This is derived from the expansion of HAD as HH ALP DLTh (555) and LA AL LA expanded as LMD ALP ALP LMD LMD ALP (555). “I am not (LA) extended...” (II:2)

The ‘KHU’ (31) is the soul of Ra Hoor Khu. It’s an expression of HAD. Peh (from AIN) is the ‘KHABS’ (88, “eight, eighty” 1:46). KHABS is an expression of NU, her ‘starlight’. “Worship then the Khabs, and behold my light shed over you!” (I:9)

The Microcosmos was created using ALP, but continuity was lost after Peh descended from the Abyss to form Yesod. The Abyss was left as AIN, devoid of IT. Continuity returns each time RA HOOR KHUIT “raises his spell” (IT) into the Abyss (AIN) and progressively reforms Peh.

“I am the Lord of the Double Wand of Power; the wand of the Force of Coph (111, ALP) Nia (61, AIN)–but my left hand (that held Coph) is empty, for I have crushed an Universe (ALP); & nought (AIN) remains.” (III:72)

Stage Three: A Microcosmic ‘seed’ descends below the Abyss as AAAP (1+1+1+19+61). The As come from Keter, Hockmah, and Binah. The P comes from Daat (Abyss). The descended AAA forms Tifaret, Netzah, and Hod. The descended P forms Yesod. AAAP is like a seed-pod whose roots attach to Malkut/Earth (ALP).

To evolve the Creation RA HOOR KHU must project IT (the “Serpent flame”, I:61) into the Abyss of AIN (61) to form Peh. This is called “raising the spell of Ra Hoor Khuit” (III:2). Peh descends to Geburah, and the Peh-finals in the lower part of the Tree of AL are updated with a new ‘Geburah program’.

The KHU manifests the KHABS by combining IT with AIN (in the Abyss). “Nothing is a secret key of this law. Sixty-one (AIN) the Jews call it; I call it eight, eighty, four hundred & eighteen. But they have the half: unite by thine art so that all (ALL = 61 = AIN) disappear.” (I:46-7) AIN ‘disappears’ when IT is added to AIN to produce Peh (80). “...death (19) is the crown of all (61).” (II:72).

RA HOOR KHU represents a human Initiate. RA HOOR KHUIT represents the same Initiate “raising the head of the serpent” (T, Teth) into the Abyss of AIN. RA HOOR KHUIT AIN (529) is the “secret fourfold word” mentioned in Liber AL (III:49). “61. There is an end of the word of the God enthroned in Ra’s seat...” (III:61). Note that AIN = 61. AIN is the “end of the fourfold word”.
The Tree of Liber AL The original P (of AAAP) that descended below the Abyss to form Yesod becomes ‘fixed’ when it expands to PH. When the three As expand three more Ps appear as the final letters of the three ALPs. These three P-finals are not fixed, but fluid. They symbolize the changing, evolving vessel that houses AL, the Spirit. AL (and the KHU) embody HAD, the omnipresent “centre of the sphere”. P-final represents NU, the “circumference that is nowhere found”. The Microcosmic ‘magickian’ is RA HOOR KHU. He is composed of everything below the Abyss except Geburah (P-final). He has the power to tranform his psycho-physical vehicle by utilizing his KHU (i.e. Tifaret and Hesed, or AL). He does so by focusing IT (i.e. the two pathways between Tifaret, Hesed, and Geburah) into the Abyss of AIN.

IT (from the KHU) combines with AIN forming P-final which descends into Geburah. The form of the new P-final is mirrored in the three P-finals in Netzah, Hod, and Malkut.

“61. But to love me is better than all things: if under the night stars in the desert (the Abyss, AIN, 61) thou presently burnest mine incense before me, invoking me with a pure heart, and the Serpent flame (IT, 19) therein, thou shalt come a little to lie in my bosom.” (I:61)
