Allah the Holy One Isa the Holy Son Al-Hashr 23 Maryam 19
Is there someone from among the family of mankind which is called Holy? Asalamu Aliekum! May Heaven’s sweet peace be upon thee. May you be blessed to be among those who are dressed in green garments of silk (Al-Kahf 31) and recline on green cushions (ArRahman 76) in the hereafter. May the blessing of Allah the Most Merciful and the One Most Compassionate be upon you this day! Isa al-Masih, is the gift of a righteous son…why would Allah, the Holy One, give a gift of a righteous or holy son? The Honored Qur’an has mentioned Isa al-Masih in 15 suras of the Qur’an. This must mean something very special about Him! He is referred to in over 90 ayats! Who was He? What was His purpose in being sent? For answers to these questions we must seek Allah in private prayer, du’a. Allah sent His Word to men…The prophet Daud says to us…Psalms 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. It is quite clear from the Honored Qur’an that Isa is termed “Holy”. We must ask some questions, who sent Isa, where did He originate from? Was He born of an earthly father? Did mankind initiate Him? No, very clearly from the desert prophet are the words saying that Isa was born of a woman who had no male relationship. Thus it is quite clear, that Isa came forth from Allah. Anyone knows quite clearly that you cannot obtain an offspring without the male counterpart. Yet here is someone who came into existence without both male and female persons. Isa is called Holy, and therefore it is very clear that Isa came forth from Allah. For how can anyone exist alone from a woman? This makes Him Allah’s Son, not in the sense of a sexual relationship but from the fact that Isa came from Heaven, because the Honored Qur’an says clearly that He was born through the Ruh of Allah [Spirit of Allah]. Isa had therefore the character of Allah in that He was Holy. Which of the sons of men have ever been born holy or righteous? Injeel Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one”. Are there any other than Isa? This is a mystery, as to exactly how He came into existence here, however it is still a fact, Isa came forth from Allah dear ones, so we must honor and accept what Allah sends down to us. However, many scholars today struggle at great odds denying that Isa was sent from Allah, as Allah’s Son. Why should this be so difficult for us to understand? Allah’s love for this world, made Him to come here to reveal Himself to us in a most magnificent way, a way in which it has never been revealed. We have this great manifestation of Allah revealed in Isa al-Masih. May His name be blessed forever. Never before in human history has mankind seen what Allah is really like. Isa was able to defuse any misrepresentations of Allah. Even the Jews, as pious as they were, yet they had distorted views of Allah. They grossly misunderstood Allah though they could have known Him. And so when Isa came in a manner different from their mislead views they rejected Him completely and it finally led to their holy city being destroyed by the Romans in AD 70. All means of reaching out to the Jews was given in the gift of Isa. Should we reject Him, our fate must surely be the same. Isa is termed Holy, no other person in the Honored Qur’an is termed Holy, not even the desert prophet. This makes Isa al-Masih a very special person indeed. The same term “Holy” is used by the ancient prophet Isaiah. Notice what he wrote about Isa. Taurat Isaiah 49:7 “Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer… and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.” Is it not strange that this great person whom Allah would send, would be despised and abhorred by much of mankind? Nations indeed have turned from Him as the sacred account stated. Isa al-Masih is truly a miracle from heaven, but much more a miracle. His miracle birth is even much greater than the miracle birth of a son to Ibrahim in his old age when he was around a 100 years old. His wife Sarah was of great age and far past the age of begetting children. Yet a miracle of heaven was preformed. Sarah was able to conceive a child by Ibrahim in their very old age. Ibrahim became the father of Isaac being very old. Yet with Isa it was different, there simply was no earthly father. In Maryam 20 it quotes Maryam saying “…no man has touched me…” Sura 19:20 The Spirit of Allah [Ruh Allah] had overshadowed Maryam and she became with child. This is by far the most amazing human birth ever recorded in the history of this world. The ancient prophet Isaiah in the Taurat foretold of this miracle birth long before it happened. Look closely at how precise Isaiah revealed the details of this miracle birth of Isa al-Masih. Isaiah 7:14 which was recorded in 742 B.C! Notice well over 700 years before Isa came, this prophecy was given. “Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” The word ‘Immanuel’ means literally ‘God with us’! Isaiah continues to foretell Isa’s special work…Isaiah 35:5-6 “then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing…” All of this was fulfilled in the life of Isa al-Masih! Notice how accurately was recorded Isa’s work in the Injeel Matthew 11:5 “the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.” Isaiah has accurately related to those ancient people what Isa’s would do when He arrived. So as not to miss this important figure, all these prophecies were given in mercy to the Jews, yet in their stubbornness they rejected Him whom Allah in mercy sent down. One major reason was that Isa did not come in the manner in which they expected him to come! He came without pomp and ceremony and was born in a stable in Bethlehem, unnoticed by the world’s great men of the time, yet humble men who were learners adored Him and recognized Him as the special gift to mankind from Allah. Angels of Heaven witnessed the event and rejoiced in joy at his birth. Injeel Luke 2:12-14 “And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe [Isa] wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” This was too much for the Jews to accept, that Allah would send down the gift of the Righteous One in this humble manner. Isa came not as the Jews expected in setting up an earthly kingdom, but Isa came to establish a spiritual kingdom. Injeel John 18:36 Isa very clearly told Pilate the Roman ruler… “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” Not with the sword is the kingdom of God established but with truth and with self-sacrificing love. Injeel Matthew 26:52 “Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” Not with the sword is the kingdom of God to be advanced but with kindness and self-renouncing love for souls. Anything short of this is a deception. For the heart must be won, and the heart is never won with the sword. The sword is an outward performance which if used will bring only revenge and deep hatred, but Allah’s methods alone bring success. When the Jews knew that Isa did not employ the sword to advance the kingdom of Israel and deliver the hated Romans from their land, they rejected the Holy One sent in mercy to them. This man Isa, spent much time with the lowly of men and those whom the Jews thought were outcasts of society. He freely mixed with those whom the Jews despised and did not see worthy of being saved. Injeel Mark 2:15-17 “And it came to pass, that, as Jesus [Isa] sat at meat [to eat] in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. And when the scribes and Pharisees [important Jews] saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Daud Psalms 72:10-11 Dear friend today Isa is in heaven as our great high priest, He is before the throne of God, ministering on our behalf. He took our sins upon Himself and gave his life a ransom for many. Today this Holy One is speaking to you as He speaks to all mankind. We can come to Him, He is the channel which opens the way for us to connect with Heaven. No amount of good work can recommend us to Heaven, it has to be by the Grace or Goodness of Allah alone. Otherwise we could have something to boast in heaven that we made it there by our own good works and our own wisdom. Remember Grace is Grace only if it is a gift. Grace is the favor of Allah without us adding anything to it. May Allah in mercy continue to guide us as we seek His will.
