Fried Manchego Triangles
Ingredients
Manchego Triangles
1 wedge of Casa Flores Manchego, sliced 1/2 cup flour
1 cup bread crumbs
2 eggs neutral oil, for frying
Crushed Casa Flores Marcona Almonds for breadcrumb (optional)
Quince Sauce
3 tbsp Casa Flores Quince Paste
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
Slice Manchego into slices - The thicker the slice, the cheesier the triangle! Slice to your preference and cut off the rind on each Manchego triangle.
Prepare three dishes for dredging the Manchego: one for flour, one for egg, and one for breadcrumbs (Optional: Mix crushed Marcona Almonds to the breadcrumb).
Take each triangle, dredge in flour, dunk in egg mixture, and then coat in the breadcrumb; dunk in egg again, and another final coat of breadcrumb. Do this with all of the triangles of manchego. Make sure all the cheese is coated to avoid the cheese from bursting during cooking.
Set all triangles on a tray and place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
Heat the oil in a pot or deep pan and fry the triangles until golden brown. Flip to cook each side.
In a small sauce pan, add the quince paste and water and cook down until smooth. Squeeze in the lemon, stir and remove from heat. Serve along side Fried Manchego Cheese Triangles
