EVOK - A Sensory Museum. (2021-2022)
Autumn 2021 / Studio Poznań, Poland. Along with the beautiful Warta River in Poznań, which is center of attention for especially young students in the city Planning the experience of the museum- what is special about it? Why would young adults want to congregate here? What is the wow factor? While there has been a trend recently as ‘’instagram worthy’ installations, based on the target group of people, more educational experience is aimed. Combining those to main factors, art and science, it is promised to provide an experince which is completely tactile and immersive, and designed around five senses. So there are few immersive exhibit concepts.

Building-integrated solar panels perform as regular roofing material while harnessing solar energy. It is aimed to meet most of the energy need to the building via solar roof. Locally produced and consumed energy is most viable and sustainable way to combat climate and energy challenges. In the building program while exhibitions and social facilities are located on the ground floor and first floor The lightrooms and other sensory activities that are requiring more light game and darkness for contrast are located on the floor below ground On the north wing; there is the museum shop, conference room, a library and a climbing wall. This building is intended to be used for shorte term functions except for climbing. Thanks to double height at the climbing wall area, it gives a great change and space for people who would like to enjoy that aside reading, shopping some souverniers or making meetings for other exhibitions.

Evok aims to provide such a unique museum experince for visitors that it will not be limited with sing function. Many other museums are containing temporary and permenant exhibition saloons. On contrary; evok gives something more. It involves the human activity. It makes an interaction between the space-human. It is playful, fun for both adults and kids. It is a great refresh combination of art and science.

City Path Urban & architectural concept of land development

Winter 2022 / Studio Poznań, Poland. The project is located on the F.Roosevelt Street in Poznań, the neglected area between the Old town and Jeżyce district. It is a competition promoted by the Urban planning department of the city of Poznań . Currently the plot area is not serving sufficiently for the citizens. The project consists ; the building complex and passages between the buildings, the park and the artifical cave, a pedestrian bridge. It is aimed to create a transitional bond with the surrounding and make this place for attractive. One of the biggest problems of this area is the noise. That is why there is a special roofing designed above the train and tram tracks. It creates the noise barrier, a safety barrier and enlarges the aesthetic values. There is a road designed in the area. It is a fire safety road connected with the squares under the buildings. Three buildings designed in the area between Teatralny Bridge and Kaponiera Roundabout. The height changes, making a visual line connecting Bałtyk and Zamek Cesarski. Thanks to that the new buildings create a smooth connection of two areas of the city divided by the tracks.

Building Complex
One of the buildings is connected with the underground parking. The first floors can serve as an additional parking space with the entrance from the street level. All three buildings are connected with three suspended footbridges.

Pedestrian bridge & Park It is proposed to build an urban pedestrian bridge on the site connecting the Jeżyce and Zamek districts. It is in a way that allows for additional use of bicycles and scooters, improving urban connectivity. The bridge is 116 meters long and 9.4 meters wide. It provides a platform with stunning views of the site area. The bridge has two paths, a straight path that defines a fast lane for bicycles and a meandering pedestrian path. In addition, new greenery has been introduced as a decorative element or a space where people can sit nearby. To allow for flexible areas, some areas are left vacant, allowing informal markets and other vendors to come to the bridge.
The park has services such as a small shop and a gazebo (a place for a flea market). The soft landscape is presented by small bodies of water with bridges and fountains for freshness and sound Insulation. The park is divided into areas, a children’s playground area and an ice skating rink nearby. Sunken steps are distributed over more than one area, and are surrounded by raised amphitheaters on all sides for seating areas. The path has seats, and the trees on both sides are equally spaced. In some areas, the seats on the sides have bushes, a central solar panel and solar flowers facing the south. The park was proposed adjacent to the trees area with garden pathways in the grass for water infiltration. While keeping the existing trees untouched, the form looks like a continuation of the garden across the bridge. The green wall acts as a noise barrier on the trackside.

Artificial Cave.
The artificial cave is designed as a public space. It is open for daily use and exhibitions. The level differences between the higher and the lower parts of the terrain created the oppurtunity to build and underground structure. It is located near the pedestrian bridge that is suggested to be built for the project. It creates a myterious aura and causes visitor to wonder thanks to it’s skylight window located on the axis of the entrance door.
The skylight also provides a very unique experience of ligh-shadow games created by the natural sunlight. Thanks to the natural slope on the terrain, the interior is quite convenient for human proportions. The main intention is to ensure a feeling of a natural landscape and environment while providing a shelter.

Publishing House - An office building complex 2021
Spring 2021 / Studio Poznań, Poland. It is a building complex located in Starołęka-Minikowo-Marlewo 61-369 Poznań(52.376747, 16.952491). The building site is in between Hetmańsk, Wagrowska and Unii Lubelskiej streets. The complex includes 3 seperate buildings. At first glance; there is the main office building, designed for editors, publishers, managers and where all the creative things are happening. There is a bookstore in this building with a double height ceiling. The office building is connected with an elevated green bridge which acts as a rain garden to the restaurant.

The most apparent industrial element of the building is the saw-tooth roof which not only adds to the look of the building but also benefits it functionally. The roof shape provides natural ventilation and reduces energy consumption.

Baby Spa & Wellness A development project for the commune Wijewo

Winter 2021/ Studio Leszno, Poland. The project was designed as a spa for babies and adults in the Wijewo district of Leszno, taking into account the needs of the commune. The project consists of 2 stages. public square and spa. and the spa center includes a camping area, rope park and various social zones. Throughout the project, Wijewo aims to serve its local people and local tourists. In terms of urban design, it is aimed to develop the project together with foresight analyzes for the next 20 years.

Development & Concept
Details A)public square: in the center of the focused area, a public square is designed for the residents. It involves commercial purposed buildings, hotels for touristic purposes and parks for greenery. B)spa:it is the heart of the project.It has direct access to the lake it has its own beach. It is surrounded by many greenery and other facilities such as: adventure park, camping zone and it’s very close to the nearest village. Thus, it is serving to both locals and tourists.

In the envisaged city planning, there are different types of housing projects in the area planned for 2030 (zone II). Although the houses by the lake are larger in terms of volume-square meters, they also have a larger garden. Those in the city center and inland are relatively smaller. There are also sports complexes and parks as social facilities to serve the residents,

Winter 2021/ studio Poland. A regular household cannot be considered without a laundry room or in smaller places, bathrooms. It is always needed to do simple laundry. What comes with washing the clothes is the problem of getting them dry. There are several solutions to that such as: tumble dry, or more sutainable solution, air-dry. Thus we use laundry racks to lay our clothes on or hang them.There are many laundry racks available on the market. They may work well for the purpose but they also create another problem, which is the storage. After we are done with the laundry rack, we usually want to get them away from the sight of our eyes because: -They are occupying too much space -They are rather not very appealing to the eye -Even if it is possible to make their size smaller by folding them onto themselves after use, there still are tiny flats where we barely can find a place for a cloth rack to stand on the floor.
Working Principle Wall-Mounted Two metal hangers mounted on the wall is enough to carry the laundry rack. It can be removed, replaced or left on the wall hanging, after use.
It is attached/mounted on the wall with the help of 2 hangers. It can be easily disatached. When you pull from the middle part, the item will start folding towards up and the bottom part will slide up and will help to create enough space for clothes

So, the solution that comes with this new laundry rack is(as explained on the leftside on the ‘’working principle’’ drawings; it gives us the possibility to mount itself onto : -Wall -Wardrobe’s side -Or to a door Wherever you think is suitable. The size is much smaller compared to a regular drying rack, yet the capacity is almost the same. The advantage of this laundry rack is: it barely occupies any space when it is not in use. However it only needs some width in order to create enough space for clothes when they are hanging. -It is more practicle. -Occupies less space. -Sustainable materials -More durability -Aesthetical appearance -Unique design

Spring 2021 / Studio ‘‘Designing object for fun and pleasure. Why must information be presented in a dull , dreary fashion such as in a table of numbers ? Most of the time we don’t need actual numbers , just some indications of whether the trend is up or down , fast or slow or some rough estimate of the value . So why not display the information in a colorful manner , continually available in the periphery of attention , but in a way that delights rather than distracts?’’(Norman, Don, Emotional Design, Basic Books, 2005)
Playful Use- Design Solutions With Functionality While designing this chair with various adjustments to the use, the main principle was to make it playful, fun and functional in terms of shape. As there a 2 seats and 2 table space in one element, it gives the user the freedom to chose the way they want to rest, work or to sit and drink something. There are 3 different burrows where we can adjust the height of the seats.

Bio-Fabricated Materials Unlike other bio-based materials; biofabrication does not reuse existing materials. Biofabrication means creating new materials from scratch (the reason why it’s also called bio-facturing), but in a substantially different way. In biofabrication instead, materials are literally grown by living organisms! Mushrooms’ Mycelium(Hardcover of the table part) It is also another example of zero-waste circular design. It can indeed be composted at the end of its life, providingnourishment for new wood and mushrooms. Seaweed(textile) The cellulose extracted from algae can indeed be turned into a yarn that is incredibly soft and breathable

Fener Mixed-Use Rehabilitation and Revitalization in Balat

Winter 2019 / Studio Balat, Istanbul. Rehabilitaiton project of Fener aims to put this are back on maps and make the district alive again. While drawing more attention to the district is highly prioritized, emphasizing the unique style of the bazaar and preserve its authentic structure is also considered as one of the strenghts of the project. The main discourse of the project; beyond the restoration works for tourism purposes, improving the living conditions of the settlements, improving the historical fabric of the neighborhood and survival, economic settlement, economic, change and improve their social situation.
The Diagram Process Method: The Design Of Architectural Form By Peter Eisenman And Rem Koolhaas The practice of the diagram as graphic notation method to generate form is different in Koolhaas and Eisenman’s practice. But, despite of all differencebetween the architects’ design process, the inspiring force of the diagrams, reflects not only their descriptive or explanatory capacity, but their generative architectural possibilities and also the multiple associations of ideas they allow. More thanexpose, the diagram stimulates creativity; more than “explain” situations, itpresents possibilities.

The most important decision in the design process was to turn the working environment into a more comfortable and happy place for those who are longing for nature in Istanbul climate and conditions and cannot spend enough time with nature due to working conditions and city life.

Sustainable Aspects Zen Garden It creates a miniature stylized landscape through carefull composed arrangements of bushes, pruned tress, flowers. It is surrounded by glass walls facing on the inside with corridors. It is possible to walk through or to spend time in this garden to take a refreshing and motivating break or to take a journey into oneself. As it it visible on the section above, the zen garden locates in the very heart of the building and it aims to give a tropical and refreshing effect to the employees.

Green Roof It is dedicated for the sustainable purposes of the building and its urban ecological impact.It is a layer of vegetation planted over a waterproofing system placed on top of a flat roof. It improves the energy performance, air quality-especially in such metropolitan cities-, and urban ecology of the building without additional equipment and produce innovative solutions to the problems created by rain water. It adds to the sustainable value of the building.
