Situated in Oxford’s historic Town Hall is the Museum of Oxford – the only museum dedicated to the history of the City and University. Discover the city’s earliest residents, medieval crafts, Civil War stories, famous literary connections and the growth of the University and modern city. Look out for our quarterly What’s On leaflet for details about special exhibitions, family event days, themed holiday activities and lots more.
Opening Times Tuesday - Friday 10am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday 12pm - 5pm Last admission 30 minutes before closing.
Access The Museum is partly accessible to wheelchair users. The main entrance is accessed by steps. Alternative access is available to the ground floor only via the Town Hall. Accessible toilets available in the Town Hall.
Gallery Café Pop in for teas, coffees and delicious cakes and snacks. Located in Oxford Town Hall, next to the Museum.
Audio Tours Explore the Museum and Town Hall using a hand held audio guide. Adult and children’s tours are available in French and English. Adult £4, Senior/Children £3.50, Family £12 (2 adults/2 children)
