What makes me different to other athletes? I have grown up being a swimmer whilst perusing my athletics career during high school years. I have extremely good time management and am hard working. INTERVIEW Why should a coach choose you for their team? I have grown up with a swimming background where trainings 7+ times a week with 4am starts which I am responsible for, setting my alarm and going. This shows my dedication that I have towards my sports and the amount of effort I am willing to put in to gain the results I want. I am dedicated to training and can balance a busy lifestyle of work and sport. I love the team training environment and I feel that I am often quite a motivating training partner.

How hard do you work on your goals? Sometimes when I wake up in the morning and feel too tired to train, I just think of my long term goals and the amazing feeling when/ if I finally achieve them. In 2011 I became injured at the start of the season which was extremely frustrating. However not as frustrating as trying to run again after so much time off. Coming back from injury has been one of the hardest hurdles in my short athletic career, and I was low in motivation. I had to take a step back and evaluate my short and long term goals. My short term goal: going to college in the USA made me realize what I really want and gave me the inspiration to continue training and make a strong come back. From this, I think it is very evident that I work extremely hard on my athletic goals.

Why do you want to compete in the Collegiate system?

I love running in a team environment which is what colleges provide for their athletes. I also want to improve my running by competing at the high level that the college system has to offer.
