What makes you different? I have grown up around basketball my whole life. Because of this I think I have a great understanding of the game. I am smart on the court, consistent week in and week out and work hard. I take pride in what I do, I have high expectations of myself and I am my worst critic. If I feel unhappy with the way I have played or trained, I make sure I work hard in my own time to improve this aspect of my game. I love being in a team environment and am encouraging and supportive of team mates. I am easy to get along with and try to distribute the ball to team mates to bring them into the game during matches.
! !
College goals? I have had to balance basketball and my studies since High School, being involved in High Performance and State Programs from as young as 13 years of age. Since then I have learnt how to manage my time whilst also still succeeding at basketball at a National level. This experience will hopefully allow me to settle into college life well while balancing my studies and commitments to my team. I would like to be successful within my College team and learn to play my role well. I want to continue to learn not only about the game of basketball but also further my knowledge in areas of interest that I’ve found throughout High School and University.
! !
Life goals? I would like to eventually gain a degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, however, I would also like to further my study in the health, sport and exercise area at college. I want to live a happy and healthy life with my family and friends and succeed in all that I put my mind to.
!
Im ready “I follow coaches’ instructions well, which as a point guard I believe is very important. I also believe college is a great way for me to continue to improve my basketball skills, knowledge in my studies and life experiences. I am always willing to learn and listen in order to improve myself and my basketball.”
