Interview
What makes you different to other athletes? The difference between me and other athletes, is I know that results will not show unless I put work in myself and not just on a rare occurrence. Many other runners may just be thinking of the next race and placing in it, but my goal, aside from the next race is also future races. If I’m a good runner now, I want to be an even better runner in 5 years. I show determination, strength and strive through challenges which are presented to me. I feel I have potential to excel in expectations that other and myself have in my abilities. Other runners too have potential, but I feel as though mine is something which is achievable with hard work and determination.
College Goals During my time at college I wish to learn from the experience, and to meet every challenge both academically and physically head on and I will achieve these great confidence.
Life Goals Academic wise, I wish to pursue tertiary studies, in obtaining a bachelor or degree in the areas of either law or psychology. From running; I wish to take it as far as possible. I wish to be the best I can possibly be. Any opportunities given, I would take. Making a career out of running would be my dream and ultimate goal, but without hard work that goal is not realistic.
