Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame

Catch the limited-run “Art of College Football” exhibit featuring rarely seen college football-themed artwork from 12 renowned artists. The exhibition captures the passion, pageantry, traditions and some of the most memorable moments in college football. Visitors can upgrade their weekend with complimentary game day watch parties on Saturdays during the fall Tailgate Saturdays, featuring the 36-foot HD video board.

Fernbank Museum of Natural History

Travel back in time at Fernbank’s new fall exhibit, “Vikings: Warriors of the Sea,” running Oct. 7-Jan. 1, 2024. Visitors can explore Viking culture, society, art, traditions, beliefs, lifestyle and more. Take a guided walk through the brilliantly colored Fernbank Forest during the day and at night. Spend the day discovering dinosaurs, local history, ancient fossils, prehistoric cultures and scientific discoveries.

Georgia Aquarium

Spend a day observing some of the most magnificent animals in the world such as beluga whales, sea lions, dolphins, African penguins and whale sharks, which are the world’s largest fish. Fall is a beautiful time to visit the sprawling 33-acre Atlanta History Center campus. There are award-winning exhibitions, awe-inspiring historic houses and lovely gardens for families to wander and explore. Children’s Museum of Atlanta

High Museum of Art

The High Museum of Art continues to bring exciting, innovative art to Atlanta. “In the City of Light: Paris, 1850-1920” (through Dec. 31) is an exhibition showcasing the architecture, people and culture of the luminous French capital during an exciting time of change. Illuminarium Atlanta

Illuminarium is a permanent immersive experience on the Eastside Trail of Atlanta BeltLine near Ponce City Market. Guests can visit “Space: A Journey to the Moon & Beyond” while flying across the galaxy for an out-of-this-world immersive journey. “Waking Wonderland” is another immersive spectacle at Illuminarium Atlanta inspired by Lewis Carroll’s novel

Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum

Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum is a unique educational experience found only in Atlanta. Visitors can get a close-up view of the American presidency through immersive exhibitions of objects, documents, photographs and videos. Highlights include a replica of the Oval Office, a “Day in the Life of the President” presentation and an interactive map table that lets visitors follow the Carters as they monitor elections and fight diseases. Michael C. Carlos Museum

Carlos Museum at Emory University is a hidden treasure in Atlanta, highlighting permanent exhibits exploring the art and history of Africa, the Americas, ancient Egypt, Nubia and the Near East, ancient

Greece and Rome, and South Asia. “You Belong Here: Place, People, and Purpose in Latinx Photography” celebrates the dynamic photography of Latinx artists across the United States. The goal of Breman Museum is to connect people to Jewish history, culture and arts through its exhibits and events. Open Wednesday through Friday and Sunday, the museum features poetry, film, music and history. Current exhibits include “ICONS,” showcasing Robert Weingarten’s innovative and groundbreaking visual biographies of notable American icons. “History with Chutzpah” and “Absence of Humanity” are two other collections on exhibit featuring artifacts and stories from Atlanta-area Jewish families.
