Game Room
Venture Games has roots that go as far back as the Roaring ’20s when shuffl eboard began in the United States. Elizabeth, with husband Christopher, are second generation owners, taking the helm more than 10 years ago. The decision was made to shift from making game tables to creating pieces that will become part of the design of the space, not just sit in it. Each new model designed since 2011 has focused on style trends within the furniture industry, classic architectural design infl uences and expanding the imagination of what a game room can—and should—be. As the design director, Elizabeth oversees every aspect and creation of each table model, focusing on fi t and fi nish to maximize the design of each new piece. Venture Games’ end goal is to evolve the game room from a space with little design and forethought to a mainstay in the design process. The driving force is to create spaces that bring people together and create opportunities for real and meaningful connection through play.
