Enter a World of Imagination at the Center for Puppetry Arts
All screen time is not created equal and neither are virtual field trips. A virtual field trip to the Center for Puppetry Arts gives participants a LIVE, interactive and uniquely engaging experience. Using puppets and puppetry, the Center’s award-winning Digital Learning team has decades of experience in creating curriculum-based programming for digital learning. Our programming increases subject matter retention through live interactions and hands-on activities. The Center’s workshops and interactive puppet shows support national curriculum standards in language arts, social studies, science, math and other areas. The Center also provides comprehensive study guides and provides programming for all ages. To learn more go to puppet.org or call 404-883-3391.
History Comes Alive at The Southern Museum
The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History (SouthernMuseum.org) in downtown Kennesaw offers dynamic field trip options with highly interactive exhibits and lesson plans for teachers and students that meet Georgia state curriculum standards. All options are tailored for age appropriateness and can be customized to meet specific requirements. We can also bring the museum directly to you with our in-classroom outreach presentation and/or a week-long traveling trunk rental. Our traveling trunk includes primary and secondary sources, photographs, reproduction artifacts, and more to help bring stories to life. For more information, contact Tour Coordinator Kris Allen at kallen@kennesaw-ga.gov or 770-427-2117 ext. 3169.
