January means the return of Girl Scout cookies

Girl Scout cookies are back

The pandemic crushed Girl Scout cookie sales last year, with fewer options for buying in person. But the program is back on track for 2022 and with a new brownieinspired cookie, “Adventurefuls.”

Girl Scouts start selling cookies on Jan. 1. Booth sales begin Feb. 7. Cookies are available through March.

Visit showmethecookies.com to find a booth sale or to order Girl Scout cookies to be shipped directly to you or as a gift. You can donate cookies to members of the military through the Girl Scouts’ Smiles4Military program. The Greater Atlanta Council donates hundreds of thousands of boxes in Georgia and overseas.

Cookie proceeds stay in the Atlanta area to help fund camps, volunteer training, scholarships and other programs. Troops retain a portion of sales and learn to manage that money for purposes they choose, such as trips, events and service projects.
