From Atlanta Symphony Hall to your living room
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Behind the Curtain spring season is under way. Virtual concert premieres for the spring season are happening now through June 2021. The programs feature an exciting variety of intimate repertoire in concerts filled with first-time performances and favorite classics. “For us, video quickly became an opportunity to give our patrons an up-close and personal view so they could feel more connected to our musicians and the ASO,” said ASO Senior Director of Marketing and Communications Natacha McLeod regarding the virtual performances. Premiering from the stage
of Symphony Hall, these high-definition virtual concerts include never-beforeseen views of the orchestra, interviews, exclusive bonus content and more.
Virtual Memberships provide extended viewing windows for one month after each concert premiere as well as access to the ASO Tech Squad for account set-up and virtual concert viewing assistance. Concerts may also be viewed with pay-per-view access for $20 each concert. TDP Spring Concert
As one of the longest-running, year-round musical education diversity programs, the Talent Development Program (TDP) provides 25 young Black and Latinx musicians with the highest level of musical training each school year. Each of the 25 TDP Fellows gives a solo performance for the annual spring recitals at the Woodruff Arts Center to showcase their hard work and dedication throughout the school year. This year’s spring concert will highlight performances by the five senior Fellows in a virtual concert via Facebook and YouTube live on Sunday, May 16 at 7 p.m. Okorie “OkCello” Johnson will also perform and host the evening. Additional performances from underclassmen Fellows will be available to view on aso.org.
The ASO is offering college students the opportunity to view all upcoming spring concerts for just $20. Active college students can visit ASO.org/college to apply.
