ATLANTIS RESIDENCE PARK COMFORT and SAFETY in THE CITY Residence Park is a closed-type of complex that is located in one of the fastest growing areas of the city of Burgas - Sarafovo. Combining comfort and relaxation it is located at 10 minutes from the dynamics of the city. Residence Park is a symbol of balance. The original architecture solution of the building is complemented by natural vegetation, composed of dozens of old trees. Residence Park is part of the newest residential area of the city of Burgas, ​​ Sarafovo South - a modern concept for a comfortable and tranquil lifestyle with panoramic views, only at 500 meters distance from the wide sandy strip of „Atlantis“ beach. Inspired by this new idea we have created not just a building but a complete living area filled with peace and comfort, a place in complete contrast with the dynamics of the busy everyday life. The project is a result of a clean modern functional form, transformed from the existing high vegetation. The colours and materials of the residential building are selected in accordance with the natural characteristics of the terrain. It is in line with the already finished in the vicinity Residence building with modern materials, bright colours and ventilated HPL curtain wall. The bright colours absorb light and create optical feeling of larger spaces of parks, and structure of the material of the curtain wall is

a „chestnut“ type in accordance with the tree species, which are located within the complex. The original architectural design of the building provides a unique silhouette with a variety of elements. The spatial solution follows the modern trends of the facade and is dictated by functional distribution, carefully selected and designed for each individual apartment.

Teaching and academic activity: • Teaching and academic activities in the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, city of Sofia. • Teaching activities at the department “Public Buildings”. • Development of a doctoral dissertation at the Department “History and Theory of Architecture”. • Reports on architectural conferences: ARCHITHEO2015 Istanbul and International Conferece UASG2012. • Study, research and analysis under project entitled “Spatial memory of settlements as a tool for research and strategic planning.” The apartments have a favourable exposure and participate in the overall composition of the modern vision of the complex. The apartments are in accordance with the modern standards and requirements for comfort, as a functional organization and space of the premises. The architecture is a result of a function, creativity and modern materials in the interior of the home, in the building and outside it. What distinguishes Residence Park of the existing residential buildings in Burgas is the immediate connection with nature. The project is a combination of modern construction and natural vegetation. The basic concept is dictat-

ed by the existing valuable perennial trees that harmoniously intertwine in the building forming indoor gardens and parks. They are the green buffers between the comfortable apartments and communication paths. The pedestrian zones and parks with benches and gardens are orthogonal composition of lawns and rhythmically organized decorative elements of urban design. The variety of outdoor recreation and picnic areas are close to a playground for carefree games of the youngest residents of the complex. The surrounding area is the spirit of the place and creates a favourable atmosphere for contemporary living.

Residence Park is a symbiosis between the natural environment of lime-trees and wild chestnut-trees, complemented by a stylish residential building. The original architecture solution is combined with colourful walkways, benches to take a rest and children’s playgrounds. All that gives a feeling of absolute balance between nature, home comfort and life in the city. Residence Park is a symbol of comfort and a peaceful life.

Residence Park is built in an area with rich natural vegetation. In the design of the building the dozens of perennial trees and shrubs are kept. The project of the building is architecturally designed in symbiosis with valuable tree species, and additional landscaping is also provided. Trees are capable of converting carbon dioxide into oxygen - the same oxygen we breathe and without which we could not live on this planet. They clean the air of carbon pollution and provide a home, food and shelter to countless living creatures, including humans.

From 9500 square meters area of the ​​ complex - 6000 sq.m is a green area or a total of over 60%. Some of the most valuable perennial trees that have survived for decades in the territory of the Residence Park are 16 horse chestnut-trees, 7 lime-trees, 6 tui-trees and 1 maple-tree aged over 75 years. During windy and cold seasons, the trees located on the windward side act as baffles.

In Residence Park there are four separate theme park areas within the complex. 6000 square meters green park area for recreation for the whole family with benches, gazebos, playgrounds and relaxation areas. In the eastern part of the complex in a remote area of ​​the apartments there is an attractive recreation area with picnic pavilions and sports zones. There is also a separate and secured area with a playground for the youngest residents that ensures their protection and tranquility of the parents.

Both areas for recreation and relaxation harmoniously enter the volume of the building and determine a smooth transition between the existing green system and architectural volumes. South of the plot there is formed an additional area with new and existing tree species, etablishing a transition between the main transport artery and the entrance of the complex ensuring peace and quietness. Park with modern elements of urban design extremely suitable for a morning walk or rest and connection with nature.
