The entry foyer has elaborately hand carved custom doors making a powerful statement. The walls of this space are lined in fossilized stone with embedded seashells. Against the shelled wall is an African credenza made of hand-hammered wrought iron with a shelled glass top, which shape mimics the bell top window to the study and the stone edges of the wall. The opposite wall carries an Old Spanish colonial wooden bench, large candle stand in gold leaf, with a nine-foot baroque mirror casually leaning against the wall opening up the space, and reflecting an exquisite clay torso by “Raphael Moranda� at the foot of the curved stairwell that leads to the upper level. Centered in the small study is a gold leaf baroque credenza/desk, with a black fire-salvaged renaissance armchair in leather, combined with a chandelier centered above (also fire-salvaged). Behind this is a low Chinese cabinet shadowed by a rich antique brick wall. White French doors with a bell top window bring you into the space from the foyer. 8
Great Room... The Villa’s furnishings and décor take on a diverse variety of delightful twists that entice the eye and soul. The designs begin with modern lines such as “Kreiss Collection”, “Bernhard”, “Ralph Lauren”, “Dedon”, combined with baroque, Spanish colonial, Asian, collected antiques, and unique firesavaged pieces. In the symmetrically balanced living room area a “Kreiss” coffee table is comprised of a heavy 2 1/2” fossilized slab of seashells floating on a modern steal frame centered in front of a rustic Spanish colonial cabinet with a crisp “B&O” flat screen floating above. To either side of this are two commissioned abstract canvas paintings that show a multitude of different faces, reflecting the diversity of people who have come to make their home in Los Cabos. Flanked on both sides of the coffee table are off white contemporary oversized slip covered “Bernhard” casual sofas that provide a relaxed beach feel. At the opposite end of the coffee table is a pair of contemporary “Kreiss” casual chairs with a rustic drum table carved out of a palm tree trunk with a top from stretched animal hide created by a local artist. Above this living space is a 84” “Casa Blanca” ceiling fan comprised of a bicycle sprocket, blades from airy silk fabric that are stretched by cable on fiberglass fishing rods. This living room with its many different elements paints what “Los Cabos” is.

Great Room
Dining... The dining takes on an organic feel with its hand-hewn oversized dining table and china cabinet from India. The simple, rustic design is created from hand-planed planks with authentic peg detailing created from solid mango wood. The rich waxed honey finish with open grain and knots create a warm and inviting feel for dinner guests. Seating style is mixed here. On one side of the table we have skirted high back dragon rouge Chanel scrolled back chairs adding a sexy splash of lipstick color to the space. On the opposite side is a long bench matching the table with a buttoned, black leather cushion. For the head chairs there are two fire-salvaged renaissance chairs with black leather, and brass nail heads. Centered above the dining table is a custom-made modern rectangular chandelier with a variety of illuminated candle like onyx cylindrical pieces. The onyx lighting provides a warm glow enhancing the dining spirits. This combination takes formal dining and breaks it down into a fun, casual, friends, and family dining atmosphere.

Kitchen... In the kitchen there is a wide pantry wall with high gloss white modern Italian doors, combined with flush fitting “Viking Designer Series” stainless steel appliances all of which are imbedded into a flat, cut stonewall. On the opposite side of the kitchen the same cabinetry and appliances are used, with accent black doors on the upper wall cabinets combined with brushed aluminum framed doors with frosted glass. The kitchen countertop is fully wrapped in Egyptian granite, with all cabinets using the finest German hardware, with soft close doors and drawers, creating a very functional gourmet cooking experience. In the center of the kitchen stands a breakfast island with seating for four done with the same cabinetry, granite, and the kick sides in unpolished stone slab. Upper Level... To the Oceanside of this bedroom there is a curved bay window that accommodates a unique slab of mesquite wood that appears to be a piece that has drifted onto a beach. On the golf course side of this suite is a large archway to the Master bath that is framed with an antique look doorframe. Off of the Master Suite is an upper living terrace. Here centered is a large “lounge collection” daybed by “Dedon”. A canopy made of mosquito netting drapes over it hanging from the pergolas above. Bath... Bathrooms are done with floor to ceiling Portuguese marble, Italian river stone accents, Chinese red glass tiles, and burnt red Venetian plaster. Cabinets are custom freestanding pieces of furniture with contemporary clean lines. Large ornate Italian gold leaf mirrors by “Larson Juhl’s” add grandeur to the space. The bathroom fixtures are by “Jado”, “Porcher”, and “Toto”. The master’s toilet closet is equipped with the “Toto Neorest” which works as a fully computerized toilet/bidet in one.

The Art & Archaeology artifacts throughout the Residence are as unique as the property. It has collection pieces from around the globe. There are rare fossils, clay tiles, masks, pots from 13th century, along with ancient spears and bows. There is a cigar band collection going back over a century ago, newspapers from pre-World War One, and family photos from the 19th century along with original oil paintings, pencil sketching, sculpture, from a variety of leading artists. These pieces provide an allure of exploring throughout the Villa property.  All and all, the “Atlantis House Residence� provides everything of a private club to be enjoyed by friends and family alike.
