BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE

As safety standards across the industry are improving and the demand for training on newer renewable technologies reaches an all-time high, NAPIT Training is working harder than ever to improve and expand its industry leading training offering.

There have been several big changes recently within NAPIT Training, and the biggest by far is the opening of a brand-new centre at Potter’s Bar, which is now up and running and offering a wide range of training and assessment courses! This centre is ideally located on the outskirts of North London and is fully equipped with training rigs ready to upskill and train the tradespeople in the area.

There have also been big changes to the Training Centre at NAPIT HQ in Mansfield, which now hosts a new dedicated Heating and Plumbing area. The demand for heat pump training has increased tenfold, thanks to a heavy spotlight and big government focus on heat pumps and the drive in demand for them to be installed in homes, to help the UK on its journey to reaching net zero.

Other notable changes include a re-homing of the Bristol training centre to a larger, more accessible site. And, lastly, NAPIT is celebrating a partnership with Hager to offer training at its site in Telford – again broadening the accessibility of training courses delivered by the expert NAPIT Training team.

Brett Forster, NAPIT Head of Training, comments, “We’re very proud of the work put in to make these changes happen, and our experienced tutors receive incredible feedback time and time again. We’re committed to investing in our services to provide the best training experience we can.”

The investment mentioned is due to NAPIT Group’s close working relationship with several manufacturers to allow students on the courses to have access to the latest technologies as part of their learning. An example of the leading brands used throughout all its centres are Enphase, Trianco, Rolec, VTAC and Alpha, plus many more.

Brett continues, “We want to ensure our training candidates have access to the very best technologies in the industry.”

And, as if that wasn’t keeping them busy enough, as part of the ongoing work with the NAPIT Foundation, free membership for students and colleges is available, the Training team also build and supply bespoke training rigs to colleges up and down the country. Helping to support lecturers in ensuring the students – the future generation of electricians – are knowledgeable and equipped in the technologies available.
