What Does The Church of Jesus Christ Believe? We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and is the SOLE authority on every subject. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Almighty God. Rev. 1:8, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” God put on a robe of flesh and walked here on earth for 33 years to fulfill prophecy for the New Testament Church, which is The Church of Jesus Christ. According to the Word, John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:14, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us….” The Church of Jesus Christ believes that everyone must take His word seriously, John 8:24, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I Am He, ye shall die in your sins.” We follow God’s plan of salvation. Acts 2:38, “…Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Baptism is by immersion in water only. The evidence of the infilling of the Holy Ghost is according to Acts 2:4, “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” John 3:5 states, “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” We must then live a clean, holy, and dedicated life to Jesus Christ thereafter taking diligent heed to the Word. The Church of Jesus Christ must be found faithful to His Word. We must be partakers of Communion service. This service consists of the Lord’s Supper and Foot Washing. 1 Cor. 11:24, 25, “And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. (25) After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, “This cup is the New Testament in my blood: this do ye oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.” John 13:14, 15, “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. (15) For I have given you an example that ye should do as I have done to you.” Watch, pray, forsake not the assembling of yourselves together, give your tithes and offerings, so that YOU can be counted among the faithful when our one and only Savior, Jesus Christ, comes back in a “cloud with power and great glory”!

Zacharias faithfulness to God When I think of the goodness of Jesus Christ and all He has done for me. I just want to thank and praise Him for He is worthy to be praised. Greeting to all in the name of Jesus Christ. Zacharias was a priest whose job was to burn incense when he went into the temple of God. He was faithful and steadfast to God and his wife Elisabeth was also faithful and unmovable. In Luke 1:6-7 it tells us a little about them, “And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. (v.7) And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.” God had a plan so He handpicked Zacharias and Elisabeth whose prayers were heard to be the parents of the one who would be the fore-runner of the Messiah (Jesus Christ). The word of God says in Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” When the angel Gabriel appeared unto Zacharias giving him the good news that they were going to be parents of a son whose name shall be called John he was doubtful knowing that they were stricken with years. So, because of his unbelief he was made dumb until it was fulfilled for it was prophesied in Isaiah 40:3 “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” This prophecy came to pass in Matthew 3:1-4 which reads, “In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, (v.2) And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (v.3) For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. (v.4) And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.” The moral of the story is that we should wait upon the Lord and lean not unto our own understanding. Let us believe God who is the author and finisher of our faith. Let us pray one for another and be watchful for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
I’m too Blessed to be Stressed & to Anointed to be Disappointed! I refuse to be discouraged, to be sad or to cry. I refuse to be downhearted and here's the reason why: I have a God who is almighty; who is sovereign and supreme; I have a God who loves me, and I am on His team. He is all wise and powerful; Jesus Christ is His Name; though everything else is changeable, My God remains the same. I refuse to be defeated. My eyes are on my GOD. He has promised to be with me, as through this life I trod. I am looking past my circumstances, to heaven's throne above. My prayers have reached the heart of God. I am resting in His love. I give thanks to Him in everything. My eyes are on His face. The battle is His; the victory is mine; He will help me win the race. I repeat I'M TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!" You have just taken a dose of encouragement. God's love to you. -- Author Unknown

Some minds are like concrete, Thoroughly mixed up and Permanently set. Coincidence is when God chooses To remain anonymous.
Portage Youth Planting Flowers
Have I Lost My Mind? Have you ever asked yourself this question before? I know I have especially lately. But I have looked at this in a different light. Have I lost my mind and do I have the mind of Christ? When Jesus was in the garden facing the pain, shame and disgrace of the cross, Luke 22:42 shows that He prayed, “not my will, but thine, be done.” Phillipians 2:5 says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” In other words, am I living after the flesh (my will) and not the spirit (His will)? Romans 8 discusses walking after the flesh and not the spirit. Romans 8:13 says, “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” This doesn’t mean live down here but live with Him for eternity. Romans 8:6 says, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Isaiah 26:3 says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” So if I have the mind of Christ I can have peace. I don’t know about you, but in these last days I need peace. This life is great and needs to be lived but it can’t come before God. 2 Timothy 2:4 says, “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” The Bible is full of examples of individuals who set their mind or heart toward God’s will and was blessed. In 2 Chronicles 20, Jehoshaphat set himself to seek God because of the enemies that were coming against Israel. This is a great instance of what to do when you are in a position when you don’t know what to do. I highly recommend reading this. They all sought God and before they seen Him do any work, they began to praise Him. Then God destroyed their enemies and they didn’t even have to fight. Instead of me worrying and trying to figure my way out of a situation, I just need to trust in the Lord and He will make a way through. Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the kings’ food and he became great in the kingdom and eventually was even brought out of the lion’s den because he trusted in the Lord and stood for God in the face of the enemy. In Nehemiah 4:6, “the people had a mind to work” and they were able to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem which no one thought could be done. Mark 12:30 says, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” We are commanded to love the Lord with all our mind. If my mind is always upon things not of Christ, I am not obeying that commandment. And if I do not retain God in my knowledge then I will be turned over to a reprobate mind according to Rom 1:28. If that occurs then God will also allow me to be one mentioned in 2 Thess 2:1112 “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” God’s people are fighting a battle, not a physical one like Israel did, but a spiritual one. Ephesians 6:12-18 tells us what to do in this battle. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” We can win the battle if we carry the mindset that is in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Sis. Great a Cloud of Witness
Praise the Lord to the Saints of the most high God, Jesus Christ. I pray it is well with you and yours. We are living in a time to serve the Lord more than ever. I was mediating on a scripture I have heard quoted and that I have used on several occasions. Hebrews 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” The first thing you should notice is seeing. Often we look at things with our natural eyes but here we need spiritual eyes. We must follow the scriptures with spiritual eyes wide open. To have spiritual eyes you first would need to have the spirit of God dwelling within you. Many people are trying to interpret Gods word without having the Spirit of God. 2 Peter 1:20-21 “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. (v.21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” Now if the prophets wrote the word not by their own will (their eyes) but by the Holy Ghost (spiritual eyes) it would only make sense we would need the Holy Ghost to understand it. Now with spiritual eyes let us look more in depth to His scripture. Hebrews 12:1 starts with “Wherefore seeing…” indicating a reason, so we must go back one chapter to find what the writer is referring to. Hebrews the 11th chapter is dealing with faith. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith
is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Then the 11th chapter goes on to give examples of faith. Hebrews 11:4-5, “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. (v5.) By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” Hebrews 11:7-8,11 “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. (v.8) By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. (v.11) Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.” Hebrews 11:20-22, 24 “By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. (v.21) By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. (v.22) By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. (v.24) By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;” This brings us to Hebrews 11:33-40, in which we find more witnesses. Look at what was accomplished by Gods’ people through faith. What afflictions they endured not having the Holy Ghost. We should be ashamed of ourselves. We have been given so much more than they: and what are we doing with it? These witnesses are a great cloud against us if we do nothing with the Holy Ghost we have. We must lay aside all the weights. Weights are the problems we let drag us down. The things we bring on ourselves. They were more concerned about serving God then their problems. They were not worried about hanging onto the world or its worldly ways. We find a people that were tormented and overcome to obtain a better resurrection. (Hebrews 11:35) What would happen today if we were treated the same way? We cannot even get past the things in our lives we just must have. We have to have the best jobs, the best cars, the best house, and the best retirement. I have too many responsibilities to go do what the Lord wants me to do. In 2 Peter 3:10 it tells us what will happen to all of those things that we put before the Lord. “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” Get the picture? How about the sin it was added to the weight in the Hebrews 12:1? I have heard people say you must sin a little every day. 1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” It says if any man sin, not go ahead and sin everyday. The first scripture says to sin not. We
must strive to keep sin out of our lives. Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” It reads that all have sinned. This is past tense. It doesn’t say for all to keep sinning. In Romans 6:1 it says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?” This scripture asks shall we continue in sin. The answer is found in the next verse Romans 6:2 “God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” We must leave sin behind and not live in it any longer. We all fail from time to time, but do not continue in the same sin. Overcome and go on. The true meaning of repentance is to turn away from. Leave the sin at the altar. The place God gave us to offer up sacrifice. Romans 12:1 tells us our service to God is reasonable. After we have laid aside the weight and the sin, we must run with patience the race that is set before us. This race is not by chance but the path has been laid before us. We cannot run any way we want to. We have to follow the path. Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (v.14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” This is a strait and narrow way. Our past examples went forward in the way ahead of us and stood for the name of Jesus Christ. Even when the persecution came, they stood strong. The devil has been against the church from the beginning because he knows his end. He has tried to burn us out, drown us and by the way, lie to us. He has placed blindness on man to keep him from the truth… 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. (v.4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” We need to make sure the witnesses are for us and not against us for surely it is a “great a cloud of witnesses.” Pastor, Elder Bill Pogue The Church of Jesus Christ Albion, Michigan

Pierceton Report
Praise the Lord everyone! Greetings in The Name of Jesus Christ. God is GREAT and greatly to be praised. He has blessed us so much; we could never give Him enough praise for all He has done. We thank the Lord for our country and the freedom to serve our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are a blessed people. So many in other countries don’t have this and are being persecuted and killed for this freedom that so many of us take for granted. May we never forget where God has brought each one of us from and the freedoms we do have. We are also thankful for our Pastor, Bishop Robert O’Dell and all that he stands for and teaches. Lately he has been preaching on the signs of the end times are here and we need to heed those signs and prepare ourselves for the coming of Jesus Christ. There is no time to waste. Now is the time to arise out of our “sleep” and prepare our lamps and vessels with oil. There can be no more justifying or tolerance for sin anymore. Either we’re in or we’re out. There is no in between. Don’t get in such a form or fashion in coming to church that you just come because that is “the right thing to do.” If you don’t watch yourself you can slip away form God sitting on the pews in church. Make sure your on fire and your life lines up with God’s holy word. Don’t take for granted the opportunity will be gone. Don’t be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21) Make sure your tree is baring good fruit and not bad. We need to utterly destroy the sin in our lives, even the secret sins that no one else knows about need to be destroyed in our lives. The little foxes that spoil the vine. The little sins grow to be big sins and will kill us off spiritually if we don’t destroy them first. Thank the Lord for a Pastor who will teach and preach it like it needs to be. The old time way! So great!! We came through another great youth camp and God be praised there was no major incidents. We enjoyed our time there and many souls were blessed. One was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and one received the Holy Ghost. The preaching was awesome! It was preached straight and true according to “What saith the word of God!” Loved it! It is what we need more of today. It was a long week but so thankful for God’s many blessings and for keeping each one of us safe. Had a great time at the general convocation in Portage, IN. The word that came forth was much needed. Most of the preaching was about getting back to the old paths and remove not the ancient landmarks, quit straying. If it was sin 50 years ago, 10 years ago, 2 years ago, then it is still sin today. Sin is sin no matter who it’s in. We
have let down the standards little by little for too long and it will no longer be tolerated! We got to lift up the standard not only on the outside with our dress but much more important on the inside. If it’s not right on the inside then it won’t be right on the outside no matter how well you dress up the outside. Matthew 23:25-26 calls these kinds of people scribes, Pharisees, and hypocrites! We need to walk the straight and narrow and not be turned to the right or the left but keep our feet sure and strong in Jesus Christ. We are so thankful for preachers who are willing to preach it the way it needs to be preached and are not ashamed of it. Love it! We are looking forward to our tent revival here at The Church of Jesus Christ in Pierceton, IN. Hope to see you there. Until then keep on the “firing line.” Church Reporter: Sis. “God Loves You”
It’s amazing but it’s as true as it can be, God loves and understands and that means you and me. His grace is all sufficient for both the young and old, for the lonely and the timid and for the bold. His love knows no exception so never feel excluded, no matter who or where you are your name has been included. No matter what your past has been trust God to understand, and no matter what your problem is just place in His hand. For in all our unloveliness this GREAT God loves us still. He loved us since the world began and what’s more, He always will. (Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh). (Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise). God Bless The Church of Jesus Christ Sis. Pittman Batavia, IL
The Hour of Desperation! Desperation means: Having lost all hope, Reckless or violent because of despair, Undertaking as a last resort, Critical. In the times that we live in many people are living in the Hour of Desperation. The decisions that we make in these times will make or break a Child of God. In the world rational people have done some really irrational things. Things that you would just not imagine a person to do that would be the thing that they do. In the court systems they call this “temporary insanity.” To put it simply; some just lost their minds. In Matthew 24:12-13 it reads, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (v.13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” An endurance race is not a sprint but rather a long drawn out battle of the body, soul and the mind. In many races there comes a time that you just have to make a decision to continue on or to just give up. Satan will always have someone there to give you a helping hand to give up, but those that do never finish the race. Never see the joys of victory. Never see the victory line. In the Bible I find many people that were in the Hour of Desperation. One such person was a woman with an issue of blood for 12 long years, and according to Leviticus 15:19, 25 she would be a woman that was considered an outcast or unclean. But this woman did something that has been preached on for thousands of years. She pressed through the crowd to receive her healing. We find this woman in her hour of desperation in Mark 5:24-34 for it reads, “And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. (v.25) And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, (v.26)And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, (v.27) When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. (v.28) For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. (v.29) And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. (v.30) And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? (v.31) And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? (v.32) And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. (v.33) But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. (v.34) And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” When you read the story there was many people there that needed something from the Lord. So, why was this woman’s healing so special that it was noteworthy to be placed in the Bible? Why did virtue leave His body for this outcast and not for the many others that was there crowding the streets? The answer was because this woman was at her hour of desperation. This woman was at a place to either get through to God
or die. She didn’t have any other answers for her problem. God has always had a special spot for those that are in the Hour of Desperation. For when many of us would have looked at the crowd and said that there is no hope this woman understood the healing that was there if she endured the crowd and pressed her way through. All of us have been at our wit’s end at one time or another. Many I believe are there right now. But the answer isn’t giving up hope but rather placing your hope in Jesus Christ. In Psalms 107:1-32 the best words of encouragement that could be given to those in their Hour of Desperation can be found. This chapter gives us the best advice. “CRY UNTO THE LORD.” The very next thing is the thing that no one every wants to hear. “WAIT UPON THE LORD.” He will hear, He will answer, and He will come on the scene. Psalms 107:1says, “O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. (v.2) Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; (v.3) And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. (v.4) They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. (v.5) Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. (v.6) Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. (v.7) And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. (v.8) Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” For the sake of space in this article I would ask everyone to read the entire chapter to get a real good understanding of what crying out unto the LORD can do for those in the Hour of Desperation. When you are in the Hour of Desperation this is the time that we need to cry the loudest to the LORD, for God will always hear those that will put ALL of their trust in Him. The reason why God brings us to the Hour of Desperation is because of the following: If you have never been to the place where you needed mercy you will never know the value of mercy. If you have never been to the place where you needed forgiveness then you never know the value of forgiveness. If you have never been to the place where you have felt you lost God then you will never understand the value of having God. If you have never been to the place where you have needed to be saved then you will never understand the value of salvation. And last but not least. Until you have been in the Hour of Desperation you will never understand the power that is found in Deliverance. To all of those that are in the Hour of Desperation my prayer for all is to continue in the faith for your prayers will be heard. Bro. Jon. Leslie Pastor, Bishop Randell Spence The Church of Jesus Christ Portage, IN
