The goal is to design a tailor's shop located in an empty rammed earth building in the Tucson's Barrio Libre. Providing a dynamic and innovative space through adaptive reuse, designed to honor the clothes, the tailors and costumer experiences. It is a priority to respect, protect and extend the rich culture of Barrio Libre, the people, community and tradition.
The program is organized in an open space showroom and workroom, furniture with built-in storage, a public courtyard and a private courtyard all connected by the changing room. Where the piece of clothes, the costumer and the tailor become one.
