For a lot of companies, it’s useful for them to feel like they have an obvious competitor and to rally around that. I personally believe it’s better to shoot higher. You don’t want to be looking at your competitors. You want to be looking at what’s possible and how to make the world better. larry page, co-founder of google

Previous co-op businesses have included: • Citizens Energy Group • Clarion Health System • Community Hospital • Conseco Financial Services • Cripes Surveying and Engineering • MediSurg

• Murat Centre • Northwestern Mutual • Red Gold • Riley Hospital for Children • STAR Financial Bank • Technosoft, Inc

The co-op provides students with experience and the chance to give practical application to what they learn in the classroom.

Conseco has benefited from the positive influence and excellent work performed by our student co-op. While at Conseco, they gain valuable insight into the inner workings of a Fortune 500 company and develop through on-the-job mentorship and challenging work assignments. I have been especially impressed by the Residential MBA co-op program because it successfully integrates academics and real-world business experience. todd coombes, cio, cno financial group

International Business Trip RMBA students travel on an international immersion experience, spending a week in places such as Singapore, Grand Cayman, and Paris. During the trip, students visit leading companies and organizations in fields such as finance, manufacturing, technology, and government. Students experience different cultures, examine various business practices, and reflect on the impact of cultural influences on globalization. International immersion gives RMBA students the opportunity to study other cultures and international organizations firsthand.

I am always amazed at the impact this trip has on our students. They are able to get a sense of the business culture, see the world through a different paradigm, and deal with mundane issues such as currency exchange, travel, and language. The feedback that we get from most students is that this is a lifechanging experience! dr. frank pianki, associate professor of management

I know this program will open doors, permitting me to expand my skills in organizational behavior, strategic analysis, and more, while gaining an expertise in the business world. elizabeth van dyke, mba

The RMBA program was an invaluable experience for me, for two reasons. The supportive environment of AU allowed my wife and I to get married and settle into our new life together before I started medical school. And the experience I gained in the classroom and in my internship at Riley Children’s Hospital gave me an additional window into the world of medicine and healthcare, beyond my undergraduate training in the sciences. It has opened doors for me, and continues to influence my professional trajectory in positive ways even today. jason w. white, md, mba
