At Auburn University, we stand together
FOR SOMETHING GREATER. For the spirit that
CONNECTS US. For the belief in a better Auburn that
DRIVES US.
For the commitment to our values that
COMPELS US TO DO MORE.
Because This is Auburn is a historic $1 BILLION CAMPAIGN to propel our university forward through a renewed commitment to our students, a continued promise to our state, and a shared responsibility to the world.
THIS CAMPAIGN WILL... PREPARE OUR STUDENTS for a lifetime of learning and scholarship. ENABLE OUR FACULTY to remain experts in their fields as they continue to inspire our students. BUILD ACADEMIC PROGRAMS that equip our students for the careers of the next century. MAINTAIN AND CREATE THE FACILITIES where future generations of Auburn students will learn, live, play, and thrive.
There is tremendous power in every gift — and within everyone who supports this cause. With the entire Auburn Family working together, we know we can reach our goal. And it will only be possible if each of us takes action, shows our support, and makes a contribution. IT’S UP TO EACH OF US.
Now is the time for every member of
THE AUBURN FAMILY
to join together for the future of this institution. Who we are tomorrow depends on
WHAT WE DO TODAY. How far we go will rely on
HOW HARD WE’RE WILLING TO PUSH.
Generations of future Auburn students are counting on
THE ACTIONS WE TAKE RIGHT NOW.
WHY
DO OUR STUDENTS SEE FURTHER AND DREAM BIGGER?
Because they know the entire Auburn Family is behind them every step of the way and that we’re equipping them with everything they’ll need for a lifetime of success.

we must create new possibilities for our students.
WHILE EVERY AUBURN EXPERIENCE IS DIFFERENT, OUR STUDENTS GRADUATE PREPARED FOR SUCCESSFUL FUTURES IN THEIR CHOSEN CAREERS.
Melanie Barstad remembers her time at Auburn as “great training for my career beyond college.” She had visited Auburn as a child, so her choice for college was an easy one. Once she arrived, Melanie became involved in a social sorority and the band and served as an SGA student senator. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in English in 1975, she began a career that included executive-level positions in a number of Fortune 500 companies. Her experience at Auburn and her belief in a responsibility to give back have led Melanie to support scholarships. Through her contributions to the Dean’s Advisory Council scholarship endowment in the College of Liberal Arts, she’s providing resources to help future generations of students experience an Auburn education.

NBA legend “Sir Charles” Barkley’s love for Auburn goes beyond his memories of playing ball in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. He’s also a firm believer in the important role faculty members play in the lives of Auburn students. That’s why he funded the Charles W. Barkley Endowed Professorships to support underrepresented minority professors at Auburn with superior credentials in teaching, research, and service in their disciplines, and a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity. Endowed professorships such as these create vital resources to recruit and retain exceptional faculty members through salary enhancements, research support, and professional development.

WHY DO WE CELEBRATE A PROUD TRADITION OF ACADEMIC, RESEARCH, AND OUTREACH EXCELLENCE?

FROM THE SCIENCES TO THE ARTS, AUBURN OFFERS ITS STUDENTS A WELL-ROUNDED EXPERIENCE THROUGH WORLD-CLASS ACADEMIC, RESEARCH, OUTREACH, CULTURAL, AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS.
Gerald S. Leischuck, who earned an EdD in education from Auburn in 1964, has viewed some of the world’s finest art collections during his travels with Emily, his late wife. These experiences expanded his understanding of the role that art plays in the mission of Auburn University. Both Gerald and Emily, longtime administrators at Auburn, have used their philanthropy to support the arts. Today, Gerald is a proud supporter of the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art and most recently made a gift in Emily’s memory for the museum’s acquisition of Hope and Memory by Kenyon C. Cox. The painting — along with Gerald’s support — is a testament to the importance of programs that expand and enhance Auburn’s educational experience.

WHY ARE WE PROUD TO CALL THIS CAMPUS OUR HOME?

OUR ACADEMIC PROGRAMS ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE ENVIRONMENTS WHERE THEY EXIST. QUALITY FACILITIES ARE ESSENTIAL TO MAINTAINING THE EXCELLENCE FOR WHICH AUBURN IS KNOWN.
In recognition of a deep friendship that began at Auburn in the 1950s, John and Rosemary Brown made a significant gift to honor former Auburn University President Wilford Bailey and his wife Cratus “Kate.” The gift made possible the construction of the new 208,000-square-foot Wilford and Kate Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital. This facility is one of the largest and most technologically advanced teaching and referral animal hospitals in the country, serving 15,000 new cases each year. It’s a cornerstone for our College of Veterinary Medicine that allows our students to conduct hands-on work in a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital.
