AUBURN-COLUMBUS STATE SERIES This is the third meeting between the Tigers and Cougars although this one will not count in the record books. Auburn is 2-0 vs. Columbus State with the most recent game between the two being on Nov. 26, 1984, when the school was known as Columbus College. Auburn won that game 91-56. Auburn also defeated Columbus College 58-54 on Nov. 28, 1983. TONY BARBEE vs. COLUMBUS STATE Auburn head coach Tony Barbee is coaching against Columbus State for the first time. FINAL EXHIBITION GAME The Auburn-Columbus State exhibition game on Monday is the second and final exhibition game for the Tigers this preseason. The Tigers will play its season opener vs. UNC-Asheville on Nov. 12 at 8 pm Central in the inaugural game in Auburn Arena. DOUBLE-DOUBLE KG Kenny Gabriel had game-highs of 15 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks in Auburn's 79-66 win over West Alabama on Wednesday. The Charlotte, N.C., native went 6-of-11 from the field while also having two steals. DISHING IT OUT Walk-on point guard Josh Wallace had 10 points and a game-high nine assists in 25 minutes in the Tigers' exhibition opener vs. West Alabama. The Pensacola, Fla., native also had three rebounds

DR. DRE Andre Malone played a team-high 38 minutes vs. West Alabama while totaling 13 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. CHUBB HUB Center Rob Chubb notched 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in only 21 minutes vs. West Alabama on Wednesday. The Peachtree City, Ga., native shot 5-of-8 from the field. EJ Earnest Ross came off the bench to total 12 points and four rebounds in 19 minutes in 19 minutes in the West Alabama game. The Cary, N.C., native went 3-of-5 from the field. QUOTING TONY BARBEE (On your assessment of the West Alabama game after watching the DVD?) “What I saw was that we have a long way to go. I thought we played hard in spots when we were fresh when we just got into the game, but typically when you get tired is when you lose concentration. You lose your defensive positioning. You lose your awareness. You lose your anticipation about what is happening around you, and then you make mistakes, and that is what we did. When we were fresh and the game was new and we just got in, we were good. As the game went going back and forth, we got tired. We broke down defensively, and we gave up too many offensive rebounds, obviously, and we gave up too many easy baskets. We have to clean all of those things up in practice, and that is what we have been working on." (What do you want to get out of the Columbus State game with it being Auburn's final exhibition before the season opener) “I would hope to see some improvement in those areas. We have to be more consistent with our intensity and our effort. That is not negotiable, and then we have to clean up our offensive execution. I thought we did some good things, but at times we got lazy. We got too many passes deflected. We got too many of our dribble handoffs deflected. We had 14 turnovers, which is way too many against a team that didn't press us one single time. AUBURN BASKETBALL

For the first go around, it was okay. We just have to see improvement in all those areas come Monday night." (On the Auburn student support at the first exhibition game) “The students were awesome for the West Alabama game. If we can have our students acting like that the entire season, we will be in great shape. Now, we have to get our season ticket holders and our fans in the area in Auburn and Opelika and Montgomery and Columbus to come out and support the team regardless of whether it is a practice or an exhibition game or one of the biggest SEC games. We need you here every night. When the lights are on, our team feeds off what happens with our crowd. Our students create that atmosphere, and they were great, but we obviously have to have more people in the seats supporting this team."

rebounds on the season in leading Lee High School to the Class 5A State Championship as a senior in 2009-10. Langford is the first No. 1 player in the state of Alabama that has signed with Auburn since Selma High School's Doc Robinson signed on Nov. 13, 1995. Robinson became a first-team All-American point guard who helped Auburn to the 1999 SEC Championship and a 29-4 record, a state of Alabama Div. I record for wins. NO SENIORS ON ROSTER There is not one single senior on this year's Auburn's roster. In fact, there is not one player on scholarship who has earned two varsity letters. Junior Frankie Sullivan has lettered twice, but he is out with injury. WALK-ON STARTING POINT GUARD Sophomore walk-on Josh Wallace is Auburn's starting point guard. The 5-foot10, 160-pounder played in 24 games last year, averaging 1.2 points and 1.0 assist in 7.5 minutes per game.
