Thainstone Specialist Auctions to hold Classic Vehicle Auction at the Blast from the Past Automotive Event

As a first for the North East of Scotland, Thainstone Specialist Auctions (TSA) have partnered with AW Autotech main sponsor and organiser of the Blast from the Past automotive event to launch a classic vehicle auction as part of the 2022 show. The annual Blast from the Past event will be held at the Thainstone Agricultural Centre on Saturday the 9th of July 2022 and it is the first year that the event will incorporate a classic vehicle auction. “With entries only opening at the beginning of June the vehicle auction has seen over 40 entries with a variety of classic cars and motorbikes ranging from barn finds, to fully restored classics and we are delighted with the range and quality of the entries” explained Neil Simpson, Business Development Manager, TSA. “It is fantastic that people are utilising this unique opportunity to open up their classic to network of interested buyers both in attendance at the event and through our online bidding platform.” Alan Wallace, Director, AW Autotech said: “We have been working closely with Thainstone Events since Blast from the Past first came to Thainstone in 2017 and the new partnership with TSA is a great opportunity to continue to grow and enhance the shows offering on its return in July. We are overwhelmed with the fantastic response we have received for the auction” explains Alan, “working alongside TSA and Thainstone Events, it is great to be able to offer this rare opportunity to classic vehicle enthusiasts in the North East.” The auction includes a 1969 Morris Minor, a fantastic 1989 Bentley Turbo R, fully restored 1992 Rover Mini Cooper with matching bespoke Mini trailer, 1997 Aston Martin 5.3 Virage Volante, 1967 Morris Minor Convertible and a rare 1938 Fiat Simca Topolino in barn find condition.
