Dented in the Dales

North Country riders enjoyed a new event in April this year – the “A Bit Dented” – a 152km Brevet Populaire through Lancashire’s lanes, and up into the Yorkshire Dales. The ride, which was due to have its inaugural running in 2021 but was cancelled due to the pandemic, started from Caton, near Lancaster, winding its way through quiet country lanes and into the Dales, towards Settle. The scenic, hilly route was tackled by a field which included Geoff Day on his Brompton, pictured here with Matthew Corns, riding his first Audax, on the High Hill Lane stretch out of Settle, heading for Airton.
