INTRODUCTION AV Voice Changer Software new version has a virtual audio driver (VCS VAD) which can work as a real audio driver. The device is detected by all VoIP applications, and instant messenger with voice applications as another option of audio device. This is also correct with online games which support in-game voice chat. By setting VCS VAD as the active audio driver for those applications, AV Voice Changer Software will automatically capture and process audio and voice for voice calls or voice communication (voice chat). In this tutorial, we demonstrate how to use Voice Changer Software 7.0 for voice chat with Second Life voice client, a very popular online games. With other games which support in-game voice chat, apply the same procedure to set VCS as your main voice changing module. About Second Life: Second Life is a virtual world developed by Linden Lab that launched on June 23, 2003 and is accessible via the Internet. A free client program called the Second Life Viewer enables its users, called Residents, to interact with each other. Residents can explore, meet other residents, socialize, participate in individual and group activities, and create and trade virtual property and services with one another, or travel throughout the world. Residents can start a Basic account for FREE. But for an increased level of technical supports, they have to pay fees. Second Life comprises the viewer (also known as the client) executing on the user's personal computer, and several thousand servers operated by Linden Lab. Requirements You should have a Second Life View installed and set up probably in your computer first. Check detailed information from http://secondlife.com/

Step 1 â&#x20AC;&#x201C; Switch VCS7 to VAD mode On VCS7 main panel, click Preferences to open the Preferences dialog box.

In the Preferences dialog box, we will change the Hook mode to the Virtual Audio Driver mode. - Check VadMode (1). - Click the OK button (2) to apply the new settings and close the Preferences dialog box.

Step 2 - Change the audio settings of Second Life - Run Second Life, and log in your account. - Choose menu Edit Âť Preferences to open Second Life's settings dialog (see Fig. 3). In the Preferences dialog box (see Fig. 4): - Click the Voice Chat button (1) on the left to open the tab. - Click on the Devices settings button (2) to open the Voice chat device settings window.

In the Voice chat device settings window: - In the Input device section, change the Microphone settings into “Avnex Virtual Audio Device”. - Click the Close button on the top right to close the Voice chat device settings window.

After the Voice chat device settings dialog box is closed, turn back to the Preferences window, click OK button (3) to submit the new settings and close this dialog box. From now on, VCS Virtual Audio Device will be the main audio device used by Second Life Voice Client.

Step 3 - Prepare the voice with VCS7 Return to VCS7, choose the morphing effects for your voice, and make adjustments until you are satisfied with the output voice. Note: You should have known: •

Step 4 - Start voice conversation while playing Second Life with the changed voice You now can do voice conversation with Second Life. The morphing settings for your voice will be applied automatically.

Note: While VCS Virtual Audio Driver is being set as the audio driver for Second Life, do NOT turn off VCS7 when doing voice chat in Second Life. If you don’t want to use VCS7, change the audio settings of Second Life back to normal audio source.
