Let´s be Balanced Enough

LET’S BE BALANCED ENOUGH By John Lyall Our way of looking at history and current events has [nowdays] become deeply colored by the conspiracy theory way of looking at things, and we should “examine ourselves” to make sure that we are balanced enough in our thinking along those lines. Here are a couple of Keys promises and quotes that may be helpful: 1) My Keys of 5-D VISION will instantly correct blurriness of vision, giving you enhanced focus and concentration. 2) Claim the Keys of CLEANSING, so that your spirit and mind may be washed free of the past – past mistakes, past thought patterns, past mindsets, and past modes of operation. 3) “We must be willing to regularly evaluate our "ranching" and bring it up to date by changing, or being open to changing our mindsets and perspectives and actions when needed. Something that's very right or fruitful at one point in time or in one situation may be wide of the mark today or unfruitful in another situation. Something that seemed unfruitful years back may be exactly what the Lord has in mind for today.” (Steve Kelly, December 2008) Now I think that when many of us first became aware of the plots and plans of the Devil’s people, this new awareness was a real eye-opener for most of us, and this awareness corrected the “blurriness of vision” that we had before. We developed new “thought patterns” about history and current events. But it is peculiar how things develop and change through time. What was once a radical, new-wave point of view can eventually become old and stagnant, simply because we let it dominate our thinking too much, I suppose. For me, an example that comes to my mind is my old hippie background. In its heyday I and my peers thought this was the coolest, avant-garde outlook to have. But when I look at people who are still in that hippie lifestyle today, it seems so old and antiquated. And it is a past thought pattern that has hindered many of us …- a way of

thinking we’ve had to overcome in order to become more professional and effective in our missionary activities. I don’t think we should reject the reality of conspiracy activities going on behind the scenes, but I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to claim the Keys of cleansing to wash away anything about our focus on them that might be an old mindset or thought pattern that we may have unknowingly fallen into and that may be a hindrance to the work in some way. It never hurts to ask the Lord about such things. Along this line, one of the main questions probably should be, how effective is conspiracy thinking theory in our missionary work? Keeping it in more general terms is probably okay and is something a curious outsider could understand and appreciate. I think we’ve developed a sort of “anything goes” attitude – that is, if it appeared on the net and it’s conspiracy-related, then it must be good. People then share these things with each other without going to the trouble to check them out thoroughly [not realizing that these might be] half-baked theories and the-worldmight-end-tomorrow type of Chicken Little proclamations.
