BB&T Ballpark Overview

First pitch scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2014 Approximately 8,200 seats with 10,200 capacity National ballpark consultants conservatively estimate that in its first year BB&T Ballpark should draw at least 650,000 fans for baseball alone. About Charlotte Knights Baseball

The Charlotte Knights are the Chicago White Sox TripleA affiliate and member of the International League. We play 72 regular season home games, plus playoff games and host outside events. Affordable Family Friendly Entertainment for Charlotte and surrounding areas. Local team with deep roots in the community. Charlotte Professional Baseball was formed in 1901. Many famous players and Hall of Famers have played in Charlotte including Cal Ripken, Harmon Killebrew

According to Scarborough (2010) over 17% of the Charlotte DMA consider themselves Knights fans (Meaning watched, attended, listened or very or somewhat interested in MiLB). That is nearly 300,000 people.

According to NC DOT, nearly 20,000 vehicles per day will drive past BB&T Ballpark

Focus will still be on families and providing “Affordable family fun� Ticket Prices will remain affordable ($7 to $18) Focus is on entertainment first, baseball second Knights will provide a premium fan experience focusing on the new clean, safe ballpark, great amenities, entertainment, and quality customer service to ensure multiple visits Team will now draw from all parts of the Charlotte metro region Promotions such as fireworks, giveaways, and theme nights will still be a big part of marketing efforts. The Knights will increase efforts to entertain fans during the game for a better overall experience. In game promotions, fan involvement, music, video, mascot and other fun activities will be emphasized. Increased media coverage is expected
