Orangerock more like Use water grant cash to boost OAPS’ pockets, says Paddy to find man ■ Ann Murphy A SEARCH of the River Lee was set to resume this morning, after a man was seen entering the water at Carrigrohane last night. A major search operation, involving the Waterfordbased Coastguard helicopter, Crosshaven Coastguard, gardaí, the Fire Service and Mallow Search and Rescue was mounted last night, after reports that a man, believed to be in his 50s, was seen entering the water at Leemount Cross after 9.30pm. The helicopter carried out sweeps of the area, before the search was called off after 2.30am. Gardai were checking CCTV footage from the area in an effort to identify the man.

That’s the call from elderly rights advocate Paddy O’Brien, who said that pensioners have been driven into misery by years of pension cuts.
