Spread the Wealth! All Chamber member companies can benefit by ‘spreading the wealth’ of the membership with employees. As an example, if the owner or president of the company doesn’t have time to attend a committee meeting that could offer significant information and connections, someone else from that company should attend and can share the information, as well as expand their knowledge – adding to their value as an employee.
To see upcoming Chamber meetings as well as Chamber member events –
go to the calendar!
Another example is having employees engage in The Chamber’s Leadership Aurora and Emerging Leaders programs. These professional development programs are a smart investment in employee development - and when a company invests in their employees, those employees feel valued, increasing their loyalty to the company. Expand the benefits of your membership by collectively taking advantage of all The Chamber has to offer! n

If you weren’t there, you might be curious as to why a holiday gathering of Arts + Business Connection would be titled “Creatively Running.” Because paired with the annual ABC holiday festivities, Sarah Vander Sarah Vander Neut Neut presented about her woman-owned, Aurora-based company, Vander Jacket, which designs eco-friendly, running apparel for women and men, supported by the adaptive and creative principles that guide artists. Vander Neut’s line of running wear began as an experiment to make a better maternity running jacket when she was pregnant with Vander Neut’s signature her first daughter. Soul Runner When she sold those pieces and some more that she had made at a flea market, her business began. She inspired attendees with her stories of creativity and resourcefulness as well as some of the unexpected joys she discovered along the way, like using An original Vander Jacket, the illustration she made in Colorado.

The event was held at the Aurora History Museum where the current display (through Feb. 16, 2025) is printed copies of “Aurora Speaks”: poetry and prose offering a rich tapestry of the community stories brought to life.
