DISC GEORGE WILLI

Discover what matters. And build your life around it. It begins with amazing views and an inspiring setting for academic achievement. What started as a YMCA camp in 1886 is now a state-of-the-art campus where professors focus on teaching and students support one other. It’s George Williams College of Aurora University. We are a livinglearning laboratory.

OVER IAMS COLLEGE

George Williams College students explore. That’s because we believe education is an adventure. Students gain hands-on experience in modern nursing labs and the on-campus Research and Education Farm. They intern with community agencies. Through the First Year Experience course, they go sailing, horseback riding and visit nonprofit organizations. Students also have convenient access to Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison. We take students on journeys so they can discover what matters.

AREAS OF STUDY business, nursing, psychology, social work, undecided

NATALIE ’21 Pre-nursing major “Whether it be through my professors or peer tutoring, GWC offers a wide range of opportunities to succeed. I am always able to get the help I need with classes and gain a better understanding of the material.” Learn more about GWC at gwc.aurora.edu/experienceGWC

DISC VA L

OVER LU E George Williams College students benefit from one of the lowest private school tuition rates in Wisconsin. We make the pursuit of knowledge accessible by ensuring college is affordable. We also provide exceptional academic experiences. Through community partnerships, students have opportunities to practice business, nursing, psychology and social work. They also venture beyond the country through study abroad programs. At GWC, anything is possible.

Advance with purpose. As a small college, GWC is able to deliver a more personal approach to mentoring. Professors, who are experts in their field, have time for one-on-one discussions and are genuinely interested in preparing the next generation of leaders. Academic support and student life staff dedicate themselves to guiding students throughout their four years on campus. Essentially, we work with you to determine who you want to be and what you want to do. And then we help you develop the skills necessary to reach your career goals. Together, we build a foundation for your future.

BETSY, BSW ’17 AND MSW ’18 GRADUATE Child and Family Therapist at Rosecrance in Rockford, IL “I completed my MSW in one year through the advanced standing program. My field placement allowed me to utilize the skills I learned at GWC in real life. Because of this, the transition from student to professional has been smooth.” Learn more about GWC at gwc.aurora.edu/experienceGWC

90% of students participate in internships, study abroad, research or service projects

98%+ of students receive generous financial aid packages

DISC HO

OVER ME George Williams College students call the lake their home. That’s because Geneva Lake serves as a backdrop to our 137-acre campus. It’s not unusual to see students fishing, walking the 21-mile shore path or studying the body of water itself. At night, students often gather around bonfires along the lakeside. We’re a campus like no other.

Prepare for a moment of insight. Something at GWC is going to create a spark in you. Perhaps you’ll be introduced to a fascinating subject during a Sundays at 4 cultural event. Maybe a mentor will position you for success at your on-campus job. It’s likely that a professor will help you identify a new skill. You could be inspired by a talk in the Chapel. Or you might find your calling through one of our volunteer service initiatives. Life-changing moments await you.

LORENA ’19 Social work major “Being involved on campus gives me the opportunity to try new things, step out of my comfort zone and develop leadership skills. It has also helped me expand my knowledge in areas outside of my major, such as learning about the environment on our Alternative Spring Break trip to clean up the Mississippi River, or learning about stereotypes and prejudices when I helped organize GWC’s first Boxes and Walls interactive oppression exhibit.” Learn more about GWC at gwc.aurora.edu/experienceGWC

KEVIN ’21 Environmental science major* “Living on campus is an experience that’s hard to beat — the scenery is perfect and the dorms are the best that I’ve seen. Being a resident has allowed me to participate in campus activities and helped me build bonds with others who live here. I’ve never had more friends than I do at GWC, and I’ve never been so involved in a community.” Learn more about GWC at gwc.aurora.edu/experienceGWC *This program is only accepting new transfer student applications.
