Discover what matters. And build your life around it. It begins with amazing views and an inspiring setting for academic achievement. What started as a YMCA camp in 1886 is now a stateof-the-art campus where professors focus on teaching and students support one another. It’s George Williams College of Aurora University near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. We are a living-learning community. laboratory.
George Williams College students explore. That’s because we believe education is an adventure. Students gain hands-on experience in modern nursing labs and the College Garden. They intern with community agencies. Through the First Year Experience course, they go sailing, ride horses, and visit nonprofit organizations. They spend time at nearby coffee shops, movie theaters, shopping areas, and at our partnership fitness center. Students also have convenient access to Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison. We take students on journeys so they can discover what matters most to them.

Advance with purpose. As a small college, GWC is able to deliver a more personal approach to mentoring. Professors have time for individual discussions with students and are genuinely interested in preparing the next generation of leaders. Academic support and student life staff dedicate themselves to guiding students throughout their four years on campus. Essentially, we work with you to determine who you want to be and what you want to do. And then we help you develop the skills necessary to reach your career goals. Together, we build a foundation for your future.

Home
George Williams College students call the lake their home. That’s because Geneva Lake serves as a backdrop to our 137-acre campus. It’s not unusual to see students fishing, walking the 21-mile lakeshore path, or studying on the campus pier. At night, students often gather around bonfires along the lakeside. We’re a campus like no other.
Prepare for a moment of insight. Something at GWC is going to create a spark in you. Perhaps you’ll be introduced to a fascinating subject during a Sundays at 4 cultural event. Maybe a mentor will position you for success at your on-campus job. It’s likely that a professor will help you identify a new skill. You could be inspired by a talk in the Chapel. Or you might find your calling through one of our volunteer service initiatives. Life-changing moments await you.
