T

o those of us lucky to be on stage, recreating the music of great composers is a privilege and challenge. Classical masters like Beethoven, Berlioz, Brahms, Mozart, Schubert, Mussorgsky, and Rachmaninoff all seem “Larger than Life”; the responsibility of making their works seem new and fresh is one the Austin Symphony Orchestra and I take seriously, and also with great joy. You are an essential part of this recreative experience, and it is for you that we bring these wonderful composers to life. Welcome back to the concerts of the ASO. We look forward to providing soul nourishing experiences with music from the past and present!
