Scales Of Reality

From Macro To Micro Everything Is Connected True comprehension comes when the dots are revealed: seeing the world for the beauty of being interconnected. When you are able to see the big picture, patterns seemingly connect our world and shapes suddenly emerge from billions of singular simple interactions. Recurring patterns across different scales of reality become connected through fractals and self-similarity - creating complex structures. Paul Stamets explains how the mycelial archetype and the information systems that comprise the internet look exactly like computer models of dark matter in space and these all look like neurons in the brain. They share the same complex structure, due to the rise of networks and big data. Man made systems look exactly like natural systems and the more we can measure the more we can visualise; the more we can visualise, the more it expands our ability to understand by seeing these reoccurring patterns across scales of reality.
Technology is becoming an expander of human consciousness as it submerges our thoughts, reach, vision and intellect. Jeffery West explains that cites behave like organisms and streets are like capillaries. How is it possible that man made, artificial, technological systems are behaving like natural systems? The more efficient they become, the more they look like one another. Steven Johnson says if we can understand all these things, anything becomes possible. It is the adjacent possible standing as a shadow future; a map of all the ways the present can reinvent itself. Through what appears as random behaviors of unrelated events, these patterns allow us to connect and learn. This creates an understanding of what can and will happen in the future: posing the question why is the world structured as it is?
