The Australian College of Nursing is the peak professional body and leader of the nursing profession. We are a for-purpose organisation committed to our mission of Shaping Health, Advancing Nursing.
We support nurses to uphold the highest possible standards of integrity, clinical expertise, ethical conduct, and professionalism through our six pillars of Education, Leadership, Community, Social Impact, Advocacy and Policy.
The National Nursing Forum (NNF) is the Australian College of Nursing’s (ACN) signature annual leadership and educational event bringing together nurses, students and other health professionals from around the country and across the globe.
The 2025 NNF will take place from Wednesday 23 – Friday 25 July 2025 at the National Convention Centre Canberra with the theme Courage, Compassion, Connection –Empowering Nurses for the Future.
Attendees will enjoy a full and rich forum experience with face-to-face presentations and interactions with the nursing network, the opportunity to connect with valuable sponsors and exhibitors to learn about the latest products, and more.

THE PROGRAM

The Minister for Health and Aged Care, other key members of government and members of the Opposition are invited to participate.
The National Nursing Forum has been incredibly successful with the number of delegates growing steadily over the years and it is expected to continue expanding.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. SPONSORSHIP
The organisation seeking sponsorship must:
1.1. operate ethically within the relevant code of conduct e.g. Medicines Australia Code of Conduct 17 and/or Medical Technology Association of Australia Code of Practice
1.2. have a high standing amongst peer groups
1.3. not be subject to any legal proceedings that may impact on or adversely affect the relationship or the reputation and standing of ACN
1.4. act consistently with the mission and objectives of ACN in serving the nursing profession
1.5. pay in full all sponsorship fees before sponsorship entitlements can be implemented and accept that no refund will apply for cancelled sponsorships.
2. EXHIBITION
2.1. No refund will apply for cancelled booths.
2.2. Booths will be available via a real-time online booking process on a first-in basis. ACN will not be responsible for nor accept any claim arising in consequence of any exhibitor being allocated a space adjacent to a competitor.
2.3. Full payment is required within 30 days of booking and all payments are required in full no later than 23 June 2025, whichever comes first, unless payment terms have been agreed with and approved by ACN.
2.4. Exhibitors may not assign, sublet or apportion the whole or any part of their booked space without the prior written consent of ACN.
2.5. Exhibition booths include one (1) full delegate registration which includes access to all social events. Should additional staff be rostered to man the exhibition booth at any stage during the Forum, additional Delegate Exhibition Registrations are to be purchased in advance. Delegate registrations are to be used solely by the registered individual and cannot be shared between employees.
2.6. Exhibition Booth and Space
2.6.1. All exhibitors will be confined to the space allocated and shall not promote products outside their assigned space. If found to be distributing or marketing materials outside of the assigned space, ACN reserves the right to eject the exhibitor.
2.6.2. No exhibit may extend above the booth height unless prior approval has been obtained from the organisers.
2.6.3. No nails, staples or pins other than display pins are to be used on exhibition panelling. Velcro stickers are permitted. Any costs incurred by ACN for damage to exhibition equipment, furniture and accessories caused by an exhibitor will be charged back to the exhibitor by ACN.
2.6.4. Exhibitors are responsible for removing their property promptly or within any designated move out period as advised in the exhibitor manual. Failure to do so will result in removalist or rubbish removal charges at the exhibitor’s expense.
2.7.
Insurance
2.7.1. Public liability insurance to a minimum of AUD$10 million must be taken out by each exhibitor at their own expense. A copy of the certificate of insurance currency must be provided to ACN upon booking.
2.7.2. The exhibitor is responsible for all claims for personal injury or damage to property arising in connection with the exhibitor’s occupation and management of the display area.
2.7.3. The exhibitor will indemnify the organisers in respect of each and every such claim and all actions, proceedings, costs, claims and demands in respect thereof.
2.7.4. The exhibitor must take out adequate insurance in respect of all such claims and provide a copy of the policy to ACN.
2.7.5. The organisers shall be under no liability for personal injury to the exhibitor, his/her servants, agents, invitees or licensees however caused and the exhibitor shall take out all necessary insurances.
2.7.6. ACN will not be responsible for the loss or damage of an exhibitor’s stock howsoever caused. Exhibitors will indemnify ACN in respect of all such claims and are responsible for insuring their stock for loss or damage.
2.7.7. If the holding of the exhibition is prevented or abandoned for any reason not within the control of the organisers the organisers may, at their discretion, return a part of the costs of space paid by the exhibitor. In any such case, the organisers shall not be liable in any way whatsoever for any expenditure or liability or loss including consequential loss incurred by the exhibitor.
2.8. ACN reserves the right in its absolute discretion to change the venue, date and duration of an event. In such circumstances exhibitors will release and indemnify ACN from and in respect of any claims and demands in respect thereof. The exhibitor must take out adequate insurance in respect of all claims.
2.9. ACN reserves the right to rearrange the floor plan and/or relocate any exhibit without notice. ACN will not discount or refund for any facilities not used or required.
2.10. Exhibits must not be removed and displays must not be dismantled, either partly or in total, before closing time. All exhibits and display materials must be removed by the times agreed with or nominated by ACN.
2.11. All exhibitors must reflect a professional image of nursing in their marketing and promotion. ACN does not support promotion of disrespectful or stereotypical depictions of the nursing profession. In the event an exhibitor breaches this code of conduct, ACN reserves the right to request an exhibitor to leave.
2.12. During the public access period, exhibits must at all times be staffed by a representative or employee of the exhibitor.
2.13. Exhibitors must not conduct competitions or offer prizes except with the written consent and approval of ACN.
2.14. Exhibitors wishing to have consumables at their stand must notify ACN and the venue prior to the event. Exhibitors will be liable for all or any related costs incurred for the distribution of consumables or additional cleaning including those charged by a venue.
3. ADVERTISING
3.1. No refunds will apply to advertisements cancelled following the booking deadline. Any advertisement which is cancelled will not be transferable for use at another time.
3.2. ACN is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever to any advertising material (including negatives, artwork, disk or other materials that are the property of the advertiser) left in ACN’s control.
3.3. ACN is, under no circumstances, liable to an advertiser for any indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of revenue or loss of business opportunity incurred in consequence of the advertisement.
3.4. Advertisements must:
• clearly identify the product or service and the advertiser
• conform to professional standards of good taste and must not be demeaning or discriminatory in any way
• be clearly distinguishable from ACN content
• not breach any law.
3.5. ACN will generally accept advertisements which, in ACN’s opinion, are directly relevant to, effective and useful in, the practice of nursing, nursing education, health care and nursing service delivery, and for nurses as professional practitioners.
3.6. ACN will generally NOT accept advertisements which, in ACN’s reasonable opinion:
• promote alcohol, tobacco, or other products harmful to health
• are for lifestyle activities which promote potentially risk taking behaviours, or that reflect unfavourably, either directly, indirectly or by implication, on the nursing profession, its reputation or interests
• are for products or services which are the subject of litigation or adverse claims
• do not reflect a professional image of nursing.
3.7. ACN may accept advertisements for apparatus, equipment, pharmaceuticals and other devices intended for therapeutic purposes.
3.8. ACN may request an advertiser provide any scientific and technical data, or an acceptance of the apparatus, equipment, pharmaceuticals and other devices by the Therapeutic Goods Association.
3.9. ACN may refuse to advertise any products for which scientific and technical data as to the product’s safety, operation and usefulness is not provided on request or is inadequate or incomplete.
3.10. An advertiser must not, unless approved by ACN in writing, refer to ACN in any advertisement placed in any other medium to aid its credibility.
3.11. Content
3.11.1. An advertiser must provide an advertisement in the form required by ACN. ACN will use reasonable endeavours to publish advertisements in the format agreed with the advertiser.
3.11.2. ACN may request from an advertiser any additional information ACN reasonably requires to determine whether to publish the advertiser’s advertisement.
3.11.3. ACN may place the word “advertisement” on any advertisement that in ACN’s opinion could be mistaken for ACN content.
3.11.4. ACN may place on any advertisement a disclaimer, in the form ACN determines, that ACN does not:
• endorse the product or services advertised or
• guarantee any of the claims made for any product or service by a manufacturer or service provider.
3.11.5. The information in any proposed advertisement must be accurate.
3.11.6. An advertiser must notify ACN of any error prior to the artwork deadline in order for rectification prior to distribution.
3.11.7 ACN may re-publish the previous advertisement of an advertiser if the advertiser does not provide ACN with new artwork before the material deadline (that is; the deadline for an advertiser to provide an advertisement), as set by ACN.
3.11.8. The advertiser warrants to ACN that the publication of their advertisement does not breach or infringe:
• the Trade Practices Act (Cth), Fair Trading Acts (state) or equivalent legislation
• Medicines Australia Code of Conduct 17
• any copyright, trade mark, obligation of confidentiality or other personal or proprietary right
• any law of defamation, obscenity or contempt of any court, tribunal or royal commission
• state or Commonwealth privacy legislation or anti-discrimination legislation
• any financial services law as defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth); or any other law or applicable code.
3.11.9. The advertiser acknowledges that it has not relied on any advice given or representations made by or on behalf of ACN in connection with the advertisement.
3.11.10. The advertiser indemnifies and agrees to keep indemnified ACN, its officers, employees, contractors and agents against any costs, expenses, losses, damages, liability, claims or proceedings whatsoever which may arise from:
• the publication of the advertiser’s material pursuant to their order
• any breach of these terms by the advertiser
• any negligent or unlawful act or omission of the advertiser in connection with their advertisement.
ACN’S PRINCIPLES OF WORKING WITH INDUSTRY GUIDELINES
The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) has developed clear principles that must be followed in entering into any relationship with industry, including pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers and suppliers of medical devices, health-related products, information technology and other industry suppliers.
Position statement: ACN has a responsibility to ensure that its interactions with industry are in keeping with ACN’s professional standards and responsibilities to its members, the nursing profession and society as a whole. As such, relationships with industry are appropriate only if they do not conflict with ACN’s core values and do not compromise ACN’s integrity and objectivity.
General principles - The principles which must apply in all instances are:
• conformity with ACN’s intent, core values and strategic directions
• professionalism and ethics, as outlined in the Code of Conduct for Nurses in Australia (2008), the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct 17 and the Medical Technology Association Code of Practice
• no relationship should undermine ACN’s independence
• consistency with ACN policies and practice principles and guidelines
• transparency of process, except for commercial in confidence activities
• regulatory compliance and accountability.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY
Australian College of Nursing (ACN) and Australian Conference and Event Organisers (aceo) accept no responsibility for and no liability to any persons or body for any loss, injury or damages incurred or suffered by them in consequence of or incidental to their participation in or attendance at the event and whether arising directly or indirectly from any action or cause whatsoever undertaken, organised or sponsored by ACN and/or ACEO.
