Circuits

From July 2023 APRA will recommence promotion of our Circuits and circuit standings Whilst some of the Circuits have still been operational for the past couple of years, things have been a little dormant since Covid We have “refreshed” our procedures with the hope to revamp and promote awareness of our circuits and encourage members to become more actively involved in their circuit’s committees These new procedures will include:

Promotion of Circuit committees and their operations including oPosting circuit committee office bearers and contacts on the APRA website

Posting of AGM minutes of each circuit on the APRA website

Advertising of circuit meetings and AGM’s via website, social media & APRA news

Posting of circuit standing on the website and in the APRA news bi-monthly

Promoting Circuit run events, such as clinics, schools, presentation evenings etc on APRA website and social media.

Promotion of any standout rodeos/affiliates or competitors within a circuit that the committee wish to acknowledge.

Circuits have been advised that the Executive Board welcomes circuit committees to apply to the APRA for “development funding” to be spent within their circuit. Circuit committees can make application to the board for additional funding to run events such as clinics, schools, animal welfare clinics and information evenings for rodeo committees etc, all for the betterment of the Association and the sport within their circuit. This is a new initiative from the Executive and the APRA.

There are a large number of competitors with outstanding fines It has come to my attention that things may have been a little relaxed over the past twelve months with regards to fines payment and competitors being allowed to enter rodeo whilst they have outstanding fines. A line has been drawn in the sand and from now on the office will be clamping down on all outstanding fines and not accepting entries into any rodeo until all dues are paid. This is as stipulated in our APRA By Laws and Competition Rules Statements will be sent out monthly. Statements will show invoice numbers and fine amounts outstanding If you are unsure of what the invoiced fine is for, you will need to contact the office stating the invoice number to obtain a copy–preferablyviaemailatapra@prorodeocomau
