The National Auto Body Council (NABC) President’s Award is designed to honor the NABC member company that supports the vision of the NABC through donation of its time and resources. For 2021, the NABC President’s Award was presented to Farmers Insurance, selected by a vote of the NABC Board members.

The Farmers Insurance nomination received overwhelming support from the NABC Board based on Farmers strong commitment to the NABC. Throughout 2021, Farmers Insurance assisted with the gifting of nearly 30 NABC Recycled Rides vehicles, and provided its staff with the time and resources to act as chairman of the NABC Fundraising committee and support NABC activities.In addition to presenting Farmers with the NABC Presidents Award, the NABC will make contributions to two organizations in the recipient’s honor— one selected by NABC and one by Farmers.

Classic Collision Acquires Minnesota Auto Body Shops

Classic Collision, LLC, a leading national multi-site collision repair operator based in Atlanta, announced a new closing April 4—the acquisition of Crystal Lake Automotive in Burnsville and Lakeville, MN.

Classic Collision now operates a total of 176 repair centers in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas and Washington.

Crystal Lake Automotive was established in 1986. In the 1990s, the company experienced several years of growth and expanded automotive service capabilities. In 2000, CLA consolidated multiple locations into a single facility in Lakeville, designed to create a pleasant environment for customers.

“We have changed our business for the better in the past and I am sure this move is another improvement. I am excited for Classic Collision to continue the work we started in this community,” said Karl Drotning, former co-owner and founder of Crystal Lake Automotive.
