Laser Surface Coating Removal ►► SurClean, Inc. provides an automated laser-based surface coating removal system that creates less waste, is less labor intensive and is 16 times faster than chemical stripping. SurClean’s technology is also more precise, with onboard controls able to differentiate between coating layers and adjust processing accordingly. This disruptive technology is dramatically superior to traditional removal methods, including chemical stripping, media blasting, and abrasives. The SurClean system reduces cost, removes safety concerns, hazards, hazmat protection and eliminates environmental issues.
Windshield De-icing ►► AlphaTherm is a dynamic R&D company focused on electrical heating, cooling and heat exchange devices. The company utilizes temperature transfer technology to create windshield/headlamp and radar cleaning systems and has also developed a fuel cell heating system. AlphaTherm currently has eight global family patents based on smart system cycling, sensors, controllers, heating elements and heating chambers. Big Data for Water Departments ►► dFOUNDRY is the developer of the Power and Pump Analytics Appliance (P2A2). Coined “Aquasight,” this subscription service helps water departments convert their raw data to gain insights into their pumping stations and applicable ground water well performance. The real-time raw data generated by the pumping system can be used to drive operational efficiencies, energy savings and well performance. Additionally, the company can assess pump lifetime operating costs to guide in replace vs. repair decisions, determine the need for a variable frequency drive based on system operation, and assist in pump and well preventive maintenance scheduling.
