Illustrator Bio: Lia Marcoux is a 2009 Rhode Island School of Design graduate in Illustration. Working as an illustrator, she is currently based in Somerville, Massachusetts. Her work is a blend of watercolor and digital media, with a focus on clear line and vibrant color. A native New Englander, she has yet to visit the Caribbean, but it's definitely on her to-do list! This is the tale of a dog’s journey from being abandoned in East Providence, four weeks in the pound to becoming a cherished part of our family and crew on a luxurious yacht in the Caribbean. The love she had to share, her passion for life and her exuberance taught her humans a bit about how to live. She became not only a great pet, but the love of our lives and an integral part of our family and crew. The picture book, Hanna’s Big Adventure is a journey of how she used her intelligence and zest for life to learn skills building on a charming repertoire of athletic antics.
