DINING ROOM The rug needs to cover the area below the table and the chairs. It needs to be big enough to cover the area of the chairs in a pulled out position. Otherwise, the chairs would fall from the carpet edge and cause discomfort.
LIVING ROOM The rug covers only the area in front of the furniture. The whole room is a carpeted area which extends from one side to another living minimal space uncovered. The carpet covers the central part of the room and half of the space taken by the furniture disappearing beneath it.
BEDROOM The entire bed is positioned on the rug. The rug covers half of the bed. The rug is placed below the bottom of the bed.
