The 5th Floor Muttenz Update

The 5th Floor space in Basel was opened in the middle of the first Covid 19 lockdown phase. Since then, 6 tenants have moved in, renting a total of around 12,000 square feet of rental space. Strict hygiene regulations have been introduced and adhered to, and yet a vibrant environment among the tenants emerged relatively quickly.

The tenants meet for lunch in the Social Square and exchange ideas and experiences. Despite the uncertain economic times, our tenants have raised nearly USD 20 million in growth capital in recent months and the pioneering spirit and optimism of the entrepreneurs can be felt on the floor.

The Covid-19 crisis certainly affects many companies and industries, but for some industries, this crisis is also a great opportunity. In order to seize it and exploit it efficiently, it needs the right working environment and network, which The 5th Floor provides to its tenants in Switzerland and soon in Orlando.

From August 2020, with the opening of the coworking area, up to 100 coworkers will be working in Basel every day, expanding the network day by day and working on the solutions of the future.
