Fencing in Avalon Park
Kuri won another huge state regional event in Alabama going undefeated to win.
This makes him the only teenager in the nation with a perfect 3 for 3, 100% win rate in the sport of fencing!
His sister Celeste Kuri who is 16 years old has been selected to represent the United States on Team USA at the 48th Annual ISF Summer Games in France.
Only 2 girls were selected in the nation. They will compete in the ISF Gymnasiade Summer Games in Normandy! The largest international highschool event in the world with 3000 kids from over 70 countries participating in this prestigious event since 1974.
Arianna Choi and 8-year-old girl, a resident of Avalon Park.
She is coached by her father Charlie Williams who is the CEO of World Sports Alumni which represents over 1000 celebrity athletes from NFL NBA MLB Boxing and more & Co-Owner of Papa Lozzi Italia. They both fence at Sword Masters Club in Avalon Park.
She recently won a big out-of-state championship the AAU Hilton Head Open she won the Y8 and got 2nd in the Y10 defeating most of the 10-yearold boys. It was her 6th tournament win out of 8 tournaments and she is currently rated the #1 Y8 in central Florida and she only started fencing 9 months ago. She will be one of the top favorites to win at the Junior Olympics this Summer.
