Avalon Park Pickleball Update
The 26th South Village Pickleball Tournament was held Friday evening May 5th with 12 players competing. It was won by Avalon Park residents Jeff Hansel and Corey Coljeski who defeated Debbie Schandel and Aaron Juttlestad in an exciting playoff game.
Sunday morning May 7th, 24 pickleball players competed in the 1st Tanja King Pickleball Tournament. It was won by Sheila Harvey and Aaron Juttelstad.
Also Sunday, Avalon Park resident Corey Cojeski and over 500 others competed in the MetroHealth Super Senior tournament at Pictona, a large pickleball facility near Daytona Beach with over 49 pickleball courts. Corey came in second and won a Silver Medal in the age 50-59 doubles group.
Our next South Village tournament is scheduled for Friday June 2nd at 7pm, and the 1st Friday evening of every month thereafter.
