You Are Not Alone

Being an Entrepreneur can be tough, but one of the toughest jobs out there is being a Mom! There is no instructional manual. There is no official training. And there is really no right way to be a Mom! Which sounds very familiar to being an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship is risky and so is being a Mom. You make a plan, but don’t ever know for sure if your plan will work out, until it does (or possibly doesn’t.) You try to find balance between family life and work. You have days you want to give up, but nevertheless, you keep moving forward every day just doing your best! And that is all we can do some times…our best!

We asked one of our own Avalon Park Business Owners what it means to be an Entrepreneur and Mother and this is what she had to say:

“Being a mother sets the foundation for the business I’m building up. As a Sustainability consultant, I feel responsible for showing my offsprings that my business contributes to making our world better and that every decision I take can have a positive effect to improve people’s wellbeing, the environment, and the community. I want my children to learn that entrepreneurship

is a way to pursue your passion as long as that passion has a well-founded mission that benefits humankind. It is challenging to start a business with little kids, being a minority, and a woman but it is the best example to show we can do it all no matter the obstacles and motherhood struggles.”

Ultimately, as mothers and entrepreneurs if we continue to do our best, stay focused on making the world better through our businesses as well as our children, then some level of success is inevitable!
