As we get ready to head into the holiday season, I hope you are having a wonderful fall with your family. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read these updates. It is incredible to see all the great things happening in Pasco County.

Vaccine rollout is continuing with all Floridians of age now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Please check out the Florida Department of Health in Pasco County’s website at pasco.floridahealth.gov for all the latest information.

There is also a monoclonal antibody therapy treatment site in Pasco County. Governor DeSantis visited in August to announce the new state-run treatment site at Fasano Shelter in Hudson. This COVID-19 treatment site is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can learn more about this treatment option at floridahealthcovid19.gov.

September 30th was an exciting day as we opened the new recreation center at Wesley Chapel District Park! This is an 18,000 square foot building has gymnasium space for several sports, meeting rooms for community groups and more. There was a great need for this at Wesley Chapel District Park. The County produced a great video on the event, you can check out by clicking here or going to Pasco County government YouTube page.

On October 8th, Florida Avenue Brewing Company held a belated grand opening celebration and one year anniversary party. The Derby family that owns Florida Avenue Brewing have been great community partners in our area. They took a property that had been vacant for several years and turned it into a restaurant, brewery, event space, and job center. They currently employ 130 people at the Wesley Chapel site!

Our strong tourism efforts continued as Pasco County continues to be ahead of the state and our neighboring counties in hotel occupancy rate. This is great news as we bring people in to spend their money at our local businesses! Please check out Pasco County’s website at MyPasco.net for all the latest information.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
