Zhenghua Dance Club has been steadily growing in numbers, a testament to the art form gaining interest amongst today’s youth. Our members, trained in both Malay Contemporary Dance and Street Dance, are energetic and united. This spurs on every member to do his best for the club.

2019 has been a year of achievements and milestones. For the first time, we achieved two Certificates of Distinction in the SYF Art Presentation. We were also extremely honoured to have been invitied to perform for Mdm President Halimah Yacob and her guests at The Istana’s Hari Raya Open House. Another proud moment was clinching 1st Runner-up position, the highest level we have ever achieved, in the Super24 Competition Qualifiers.

The Drama Club achieved a Certificate of Accomplishment at SYF Arts Presentation 2019 with a performance centered on the theme of special needs. The club worked hard on their roles to portray the challenges faced by people with special needs in an impactful way. Through the process of preparing for the presentation, the actors, who were committed to put up an exemplary performance, honed their acting skills and grew more united as a club.

The Drama Club also had the opportunity to do a Values-inAction project in partnership with Bo Tien Day Activity Centre. Students planned the activities for the visit to the centre and had a rich learning experience interacting with the elderly there.
