Learning Outcomes

Are The Strongest

“Mummy, Daddy, can you not come to my school?”

This is the most common remark uttered by children of parents in the Parents Support Group (PSG). To their exasperation, their parents appear at almost every key school event, from National Day and Teachers’ Day celebrations to Community Day and Outdoor Learning Experience activities. The parents are not there just for their own children, but for other students and the school. The camaraderie they share is apparent while they work tirelessly to improve the school and create priceless learning experiences for the students. This year, they undertook to improve the school’s many toilets with bright flower decorations and motivational quotes, and set up educational booths on ASEAN countries for International Friendship Day.

So, how do the parents respond to their children’s remarks? “I just ignore them at first. After a while, they feel proud to see me in school, and even introduce their friends to me!” says Aslinda, our PSG Chairperson. Indeed, family bonds are the strongest, and AI is one big family!
