Ice Skating This year the ice rink is located in the comfort of a marquee surrounded by Christmas cheer, at Trentham Shopping Village. The real ice rink opens on Friday 28th November and is here until Sunday 4th January. Each session starts on the hour and lasts 45 minutes. Boot sizes from child size 11 (29) to adult size 13 (48.5). Hire the Ice Rink exclusively for your group. For ÂŁ300 you can book the ice rink exclusively for 45 minutes for up to 70 skaters. Discounted school sessions are available too, but must be booked before 17 November. Friday 28 November • Light switch on 7pm The Christmas Light Switch On marks the start of festivities with Toy Town street performances in the Shopping Village from 3pm. Signal Radio will be here to warm up the crowds and get us all in a festive mood. Batman, Robin and the Joker will arrive to entertain the crowds and help Santa switch on the Christmas lights at 7pm. The shops and cafes will stay open until 8pm, so it’s the perfect chance to get your seasonal shopping underway. This year sees the ice TI rink relocated to the Trentham Ice marquee, in the Shopping Village. A great opportunity to keep the children entertained with ice skating sessions running from 11am until 9pm.
